FantasySavvy 2015: Week 2 Daily League Lineups

By Kevin Lewis:

Fanduel Cash Lineup

QB- Drew Brees vs Tampa Bay ($8900)

Brees is in a bounce back game against the terrible Tampa Bay defense at home in the dome. Yes you have to pay the $8900 but he’s probably the safest option on the board

HB- Jeremy Hill vs San Diego ($8400)

Hill is one of the best backs in football.. Good matchup at home against the Chargers and the volume will be there against a team that struggled against Ameer Abdullah

HB- DeMarco Murray, vs Dallas ($8300)

Revenge gameeeeeee… Dallas defense typically struggles against the run, the volume will be there and the Eagles shouldn’t have any real issue moving the ball. Divisional games unpredictability is rather concerning but I think Murray’s floor is pretty safe this week.

WR- Jordan Matthews, vs Eagles ($7000)

Matthews had 10 catches and 102 yards and a TD robbed from him on Monday in an off night of sorts. Without Orlando Scandrick, the Cowboys secondary is even more unimposing and Matthews should eat in the slot.

WR- Larry Fitzgerald, at Bears ($5900)

Fitzy looked great last week and he’s going against a team with an overall poor defense with an even poorer secondary. A Palmer/Fitz stack could also work if you want to save a little at QB.

WR- Pierre Garçon, vs Rams( $5400)

Desean Jackson is out. The Skins running game is probably not going to be as productive as it was last week and Garçon should probably see at least 10 targets. This is a good spot to capitalize on his cheap price.

TE- Martellus Bennett, vs ARZ ($6200)

If Jeffery is indeed out, Bennett might shatter the record for most targets in a game. Even if he does play, AZ has been hemorrhaging production to tight ends for years. Bennett is a great play.

K- Josh Brown, vs ATL ($4500)

Giants should score plenty of points.

DEF- Miami Dolphins, @JAX ($5100)

Blake. Bortles.

Fanduel Tourney Lineup

QB Russell Wilson @ Green Bay ($8500)

There should be a lot of points in this game. Green Bay’s defense can be had even though Wilson struggled the last time he saw these guys. I feel like the exposure to him will be fairly low and his ceiling is extremely high.

HB- Jeremy Hill vs San Diego ($8400)

HB Matt Forte vs ARZ ($8900)

Lots of targets.. Lots of carries… Could return a big on the 8900 investment although I get being more comfy saving money on Murray or Jeremy Hill

WR Jordan Matthews vs Dal ($7000)

WR- Larry Fitzgerald, at Bears ($5900)

WR- Pierre Garçon, vs Rams ($5400)

TE- Martellus Bennett, vs ARZ ($6200)

K- Josh Brown, vs ATL ($4500)

DEF- Miami Dolphins, @JAX ($5100)

Draft Kings Cash League

QB- Sam Bradford( $5900), vs Dallas
Sam Bradford got it going in the second half last week and I don’t expect him to slow down against a suspect Cowboys secondary in a game that Vegas has marked with the highest O/U total of the week.
RB- Mark Ingram ($5900), vs TB
Tampa Bay stinks. The Saints should spend plenty of time in the lead of this game. That should spell quite a few Ingram carries. And if he’s used in the passing game again, Ingram could blow away his $5000 price point
RB- Marshawn Lynch($7200) @GB
GB struggled with Matt Forte last week. Marshawn Lynch saw 8 targets last week.. If he sees similar pass game usage along with SEA keeping the game within reach, he could have a big game.
WR- Jordan Matthews ($7100), vs Dallas
WR- Larry Fitzgerald($5400), at CHI
WR- Pierre Garçon($5000), vs STL
TE- Martellus Bennett($4500), vs ARI
FLEX- Carlos Hyde($5100), at PIT
While he probably won’t have a game like last week, his usage and the defense he’s playing against are pretty attractive.. I would fade him in tournaments but for his price point you could do worse in cash games
D- BALTIMORE($2900), @OAK
They’re playing against the Raiders. Enough said.
Draftkings Tourney Lineup
QB Cam Newton($7200), vs HOU
The same Texans defense made Alex Smith look good last week. We all know how hard a feat that is. The floor for Cam is pretty terrifying but that’s the nature of what we anticipate to be a low owned GPP play
HB Tevin Coleman($4900), at NYG
Coleman showed well against a good Philly run defense last week with a 20 carry for 80 yard outing. The Giants back seven is arguably the worst in football. He made his bones on explosive long plays in college and you get the feeling he may break onethis Sunday. He shouldn’t be that popular either.
HB Mark Ingram($5900), vs TB
WR Mike Evans($7400), @NO
Evans shouldn’t be too popular this week and Tampa should probably get waxed in this game which means a lot of garbage time. I think this is the least Evans will be owned all year so if he pops that’s good for those who do roster him.
WR- Jordan Matthews($7100), vs Dallas
WR- Pierre Garçon($5000), vs STL
TE- Greg Olsen($4900), vs HOU
The entire world is mad at Olsen for the dud he dropped in week one. Houston made the Alex Smith to Kelce combination look like Brees to Graham. That Cam/Olsen stack could win some money in the GPPs
FLEX Eric Decker($5100), @IND
Going with the #2 pass catching option in a run first offense isn’t usually prudent… But Decker will see a lot of time in the X and slot positions and probably will avoid Vontae Davis the majority of the night. The Jets could possibly end up throwing more passes than they are comfortable with and that bodes well for Decker’s chances… If you don’t mind the cloud hovering over who Revis will end up covering than Donte Moncrief is a good pivot if you’re feeling frisky.
D- Baltimore($2900)
