2014 Fantasy Savvy Football: Week 13 Top Daily League Tournament Lineups

Fantasy Savvy’s Top Daily League  Tournament Lineups.   *Fanduel Prices

Kev’s Lineup

QB Andrew Luck vs Washington($10,100) I know Luck had a fairly pedestrian game last week given the opponent but I’m going back to that well this week.  He has been the best QB in Fanduel formats this season and I expect that to continue against an unbelievably weak Redskins pass defense.

RB Rashad Jennings @ Jacksonville ($7100) The Jaguars have the third worst run defense in the NFL, and the Giants should be in a position where they lead for much of this football game. Jennings should get many chances to tote the rock in his former stomping grounds.

RB LeGarrette Blount @ Green Bay ($7000)  I wouldn’t feel comfortable with him in head to head or 50/50 games but to win tournaments you have to take chances and hope you hit triple 7s so to speak. I don’t think Blount will be highly owned simply because of the inherent risk of relying on a Patriot RB. The Packers weakness is their run defense and I think Belichick will go out of his way to try and exploit it.

WR Josh Gordon @ Buffalo ($8100) I am a strong believer in QB/WR stacks so it was hard to pass up on a Luck/Hilton stack but Gordon had 8 catches for 120 yards in his first game back last week and faces a Bills defense that is one of the best against the run in the league. Chances are the Browns are going to have to move the ball through the air in this one.

WR Kenny Stills @ Pittsburgh ($5100) His price went down since Fanduel doesn’t adjust prices of players who played on Monday night. He had 8 catches for 98 yards against the Ravens and is facing a subpar Steelers pass defense on Sunday afternoon. Add in the potential for a shootout in Pittsburgh and Stills is an easy play at this price.

WR Charles Johnson vs Carolina ($6300)  I realize this is a risky play but as my moniker is when it comes to Fanduel tournament plays says, “Scared money don’t make money”. He has 8-128-1 over the last two weeks and played 99% of the snaps last week. He’s the best WR on the roster and his opponent gives up the fourth most points to WRs on the season. Plug and pray.

TE Coby Fleener vs Washington ($5800) This is slightly contrarian as Fleener burned the entire planet with his two catches for 28 yards last week. I figure most will be off him this week, and I like to have one of my QBs pass catching targets so the Luck/Fleener stack is alive.

K- Adam Vinatieri vs Washington ($5600) The Colts score a ton of points. Why not?

DEF- Miami Dolphins @ NYJ ($4900) No need to be fancy here. Top 5 fantasy defense vs Geno Smith. Duh.

Steve’s Lineup

QB- Eli Manning @ Jacksonville ($7200) I’ll choose to save some money at QB here and go with Eli. Manning has been throwing for a lot of yards lately and did have 3 TD’s vs the Boyz. Granted the Jags can actually get pressure and Eli is usually bad under pressure, but I do think the Giants will have a lot of possessions in this game with Bortles handing the ball to the Gmen a plenty. I can see Eli putting up over 250 with at least 2 TD’s in this game, I’ll take it.

RB- Tre Mason vs Oakland ($6000) I love Mason this week. This guy has just had tough matchup after tough matchupSeahawks, 49ers, Broncos, even the Chargers wasn’t great, but he still has run well. He is the clear #1 in St. Louie and faces a poor Raiders Rush D. The gameflow fits, Mason should get a ton of work and this could be a breakout game for him. The price is too good to pass up.

RB- Le’Veon Bell vs New Orleans ($9,200) Going with Eli affords me the luxury to go with arguably the best back in Football this season. Coming off the bye, facing a team that just allowed Justin Forsett to run all over them, Bell should be in for a big game. Also with Bell, gameflow does not matter as he can stay relevant in the passing game, as he is one of the best Route Runners and receivers at the Running back position.

WR- T.Y. Hilton vs Washington ($8,700) Hilton vs the Skins at home, easy. Luck will eat them alive and Hilton should easily go over 100 + with a TD or two.

WR- Demaryius Thomas @ Kansas City ($9,400) With Julius Thomas banged up and probably out for this game against KC, Manning will again look to Demaryius in the redzone. 3 TD’s last week, expect at least 1 or 2 more again this week.

WR- Kenny Stills @ Pittsburgh ($5,100) Kev went with him as well because he’s basically too cheap to pass up. The #2 or 3 option now in this Saints passing game, he should see a ton of targets again and this is another good matchup. Perfect buy it seems.

TE- Travis Kelce vs Denver ($5,300) I think this is a great spot to use him. The Chiefs are going to have to pass and Kelce can go off at any moment. His usage has been increasing a bit, and this just seems like a game where he can go off. The value and upside are all there with Kelce.

K– Chandler Catanzaro @ Atlanta ($4,600) Cardinals should be able to move the ball fine against the Falcons D. In a dome, good kicker, I’ll take the cheap price. Gameflow should be fine for him.

D- Minnesota Vikings vs Carolina ($4,500) Vikings should be able to get to Cam a few times and maybe get a pick or two. Also maybe Cordarrelle breaks out and brings a couple to the house. Not a bad price for a defense that is home and can generate sacks. Cam also hasn’t been playing well at all and this game should be low scoring.
