Week 13 Waiver Adds

By Mike Cannici

QB’s

Sam Bradford- Bradford became the first rookie QB in NFL history to throw for 300 + yards, 3 touchdowns and no turnovers in a win. He has been so impressive during his rookie campaign and has this Rams team in a tie for first place in the NFC West. This division and very winnable and with Bradford under center, I’m not so sure they won’t win it. If he is available in your league and you have shaky quarterback play right now you need to grab him ASAP.

Matt Cassel- Cassel’s stats are now up to 2,307 passing yards, and a 22-4 TD to interception ratio which is just mind boggling. It obviously helps to have Dwayne Bowe at your disposal but Cassel has been very impressive in his second year in Kansas City. Over the last three weeks, only Michael Vick has accumulated more fantasy points at quarterback, and if it wasn’t for that unreal game against the Redskins, Cassel would likely be the highest scoring QB over that time span. He should be owned in all leagues at this point.

RB’s

Brian Westbrook- Westbrook should be the #1 waiver add in all league’s this week with Frank Gore going down for the rest of the season with a hip injury. Westbrook ran all over a terrible Cardinals defense Monday night running for 136 yards and a touchdown. He was a non factor in the passing game but figures to improve on that going forward. The best part about Westbrook taking over now is that he is fresh as he only had 5 carries on the season coming into this game. The 49ers go to Green Bay this week and home for Seattle in week 14 so it’s shaping up for a few good matchups out of him going into your playoff runs. Rookie Anthony Dixon is also worth a look as he contributed Monday with 54 yards and a touchdown himself. He will be Westbrook’s backup but with his injury history who knows if he can take on a full load week in and week out anymore.

Toby Gerhart- Adrian Peterson’s MRI Monday revealed only a sprain to his right ankle but it is cause for some concern. Gerhart ran for 76 yards and a touchdown in relief of AP and is a must pick up at this point especially for Peterson owners. AP will probably try and give it a go this weekend, but if he can’t Gerhart has a dream matchup against the Bills who just allowed the Steelers Rashard Mendenhall to rush for 151 yards.

Jonathan Stewart- If Stewart was dropped in your leagues, you need to go out and grab him immediately because even though Mike Goodson has been better than imagined, it looks like J. Stew will regain the starting job this week after finishing with 98 yards on just 12 carries. The Panthers get the Seahawks, Falcons and Cardinals coming up and if he can run the way he did last week against a pretty good Browns run defense I think he can do the same with more carries against these teams. He MUST be owned in all leagues at this point.

Ricky Williams- Williams had arguably his best game of the season Sunday in Oakland including a big 45 yard touchdown run to seal the deal for the Dolphins. They have a very favorable schedule going forward and Williams could be a big benefactor of that. Williams needs to be owned in all 12 team or deeper leagues and is worth a look in shallower leagues as well that use flex positions.

Maurice Morris- Morris was discussed in last week’s waiver adds so I won’t go too much in depth but he looked really good against the Patriots Thursday totaling 75 yards and two scores. Jahvid Best’s turf toe could sideline him again this week so Morris is a must own at this point.

WR’s

Ben Obomanu- Seahawks “big ben” had a big game Sunday against the Chiefs including an 87 yard touchdown catch. Obomanu finished with 5 catches for 159 yards and a touchdown and figures to be the #1 guy as long as Mike Wiliams is out and maybe beyond that as he seems to be developing a good chemistry with QB Matt Hasselback. Obomanu is a must own in all 12 team and deeper leagues and worth a add in shallower leagues as well if you’re hurting at receiver or just want some depth for the playoffs.

Davone Bess- Bess a few weeks ago was almost an afterthought in fantasy until Brandon Marshall’s injury and Bess stepped up big Sunday in Oakland grabbing six balls for 111 yards. It’s the first time since week 7 he finished with more than 55 yards. He’s a must add in PPR league’s as long as Marshall is out and a borderline add in 12 team standard leagues.

Danario Alexander- The rookie returned Sunday in Denver after knee surgery and picked up where he left off back in week 6 when he hauled in 4 passes for 72 yards and a touchdown. Danario caught 4 passes for 95 yards and was stopped just short of the goal line or he would have had his second touchdown catch of the season. Bradford seems to really like this rookie out of his former conference the Big 12(Missouri) and if he can just stay healthy(which is a big IF) can come up big for your team going into the playoffs.

Jacoby Ford- This kid just can’t seem to be stopped anymore. Ford returned a kickoff for 102 yards and then made a few more unbelievable catches to finish with four catches for 108 yards on 10 targets. He’s a hit or miss type of guy at this point but his big play potential is enough to be worthy of rostering at this point. He’s totaled over 100 yards in two of his last three games and in 14 team leagues is a must own at this point. Shallower league’s there’s likely someone more consistent available, but I wouldn’t hate you if you took a flier on him as his play should continue to keep him on the field.

TE’s

Todd Heap- All Todd Heap did Sunday was haul in the longest play from scrimmage all year for the Ravens, a 65 yard touchdown catch just before half time to give them a 10-3 lead going into the locker room. Heap’s inconsistency over the years has always been attributed to his health, but this season he has been able to stay healthy and is producing. Heap finished with just 2 catches but had 79 yards and a touchdown which is solid production out of your tight end. Those in need a TE help take a look at this guy right now.

Other TE’s to look at, Kevin Boss(3-74-1), Tony Moeaki(1-6-1), Brent Celek(3-50-1) in Week 12 and are all worth a look especially Boss who should continue to get looks with Hakeem Nicks and Steve Smith out again.

11/27 Player News

The Raiders have announced that Bruce Gradkowski and not Jason Campbell will start Sunday against the Dolphins. SOURCE: : Adam Schefter on Twitter

Raiders TE Zach Miller(foot) and Darrius Heyward-Bey(hamstring) are both expected to start Sunday. Miller is an average start as he still doesn’t appear to be 100% and DHB is just too inconsistent to be trusted week in and out.

Maurice Jones-Drew(abdomen) is listed as questionable for Sunday against the Giants but is fully expected to play. He will however be without LT Eugene Monroe which will make MJD’s matchup tougher, but he is a must start. Mike Sims-Walker(ankle) is listed as questionable but is believed to be in the lineup. I’d sit him either way as long as you have another option as I can’t see him being close to 100%.

Titans WR Kenny Britt(hamstring) has been officially ruled out once again. Rookie QB Rusty Smith will make his first start against the horrid Texans pass defense, making Nate Washington and Randy Moss decent options even with the rookie under center.

Texans TE Owen Daniels(hamstring) has been ruled out meaning Joel Dreessen will start once again and is a low end TE1 this week.

Redskins WR Santana Moss(hamstring) is going to be a game time decision and I recommend sitting him as these hamstring injuries can flare up at a moments notice. If you have another option, use him.

Panthers RB Jonathan Stewart(concussion) and QB Jimmy Clausen(concussion) are both expected to return this week. Stewart will likely split carries with Mike Goodson in his return against the Browns.

Browns QB Jake Delhomme(ankle) is 100% healed and will get the start with Colt McCoy and Seneca Wallace nursing ankle injuries. He is not a fantasy option.

Seahawks receiver Mike Williams(foot) is going to be a game time decision and will play sparingly even if he does play. Explore other options and keep Williams on benches for the time being.

Chiefs TE Tony Moeaki(concussion) and Dexter McCluster(ankle) are both expected to return to the lineup Sunday in Seattle. Moeaki is a low end TE1 while McCluster shouldn’t be started unless your in return yardage leagues.

Dolphins receiver Brandon Marshall(hamstring) will miss his first game due to injury in his career. QB Chad Henne(knee) apparently has some miracle healer because two weeks ago we thought his season was over, but he will now start Sunday in Oakland.

Chargers TE Antonio Gates(foot) is a game time decision but most reports i’ve read lean towards him sitting. Don’t wait until 8pm to see if he’s active, start someone else. RB Ryan Mathews(ankle) will sit again leaving Mike Tolbert to get the bulk of the carries against the Colts and their 30th ranked run defense.

Colts WR Austin Collie(concussion), RB’s Joseph Addai(neck) and Mike Hart(ankle) have all been ruled out for Sunday night. WR Blair White will play for Collie while Donald Brown will carry the load at RB. Reggie Wayne(knee) will play even though he is currently listed as questionable.

49ers TE Vernon Davis(ankle) is ready to go after a good week of practice. The ankle has been bothering him for weeks now it appears and shouldn’t be an issue going forward, start Davis.

Dolphins Brandon Marshall left tonight’s game with an apparent hamstring injury. Were not yet sure whether it was just a cramp or something more serious. As we find out more we’ll be sure to pass it along to you.

Colts RB Joseph Addai(neck) participated in Thursday’s practice in a limited fashion. It’s likely to be a game time decision this week but its encouraging to say the least. Donald Brown’s value was already little to none and will become non-existent once Addai is back healthy. WR Austin Collie(concussion) was a full participant at Thursday practice and is slated to suit up Sunday in New England.  SOURCE: Paul Kuharsky on Twitter

The Panthers have now named 8 year veteran Brian St. Pierre there starting QB for Sunday’s game and not rookie Tony Pike. This is an odd move after hearing all week that it would be Pike. This however should have no fantasy impact and all Panthers should remain on benches and waiver wires.

Texans Andre Johnson(ankle) and Matt Schaub(knee) both practiced on a limited basis Thursday and both are expected to start Sunday against the Jets. TE Owen Daniels(hamstring) missed practice again and has virtually no chance at playing Sunday. SOURCE: Nick Scurfield on Twitter

Chiefs WR/RB Dexter McCluster(ankle) was limited in practice Thursday and is likely to be a game time decision. TE Tony Moeaki(concussion) sat out Thursday practice and is very unlikely to go Sunday if he’s yet to practice at this point in the week.

Steelers WR Hines Ward(concussion) practiced in full for the second straight day and is going to start Sunday. Get him back into your lineup against the Raiders secondary which is likely to be without Nnamdi Asomugha again.

Redskins RB Clinton Portis(groin) was limited in practice Thursday and is likely to be a game time decison. Ryan Torain(hamstring) has yet to practice this week and we’d bet he sits this week as well. Rookie Keiland Williams is likely to get the majority of the load in Tennessee Sunday and is a viable flex play especially in PPR leagues.

Brett Favre(elbow, ankle) and Percy Harvin(ankle) were both limited in practice on Thursday however both are expected to play Sunday against the Packers. SOURCE: Tom Pelissero on Twitter

Packers WR Donald Driver(quad) was limited in practice Wednesday and Thursday and will attempt to fully participate on Friday. If he can, he’s likely to play but if he’s limited again, James Jones would likely get the start with Driver being used sparingly at best.

Jaguars WR Mikes Sims-Walker(ankle) missed his second straight practice Thursday and his Week 11 status is still unclear. We’ll monitor this injury closely and up date everyone as info comes in.

Cardinals RB Beanie Wells(knee) was limited in practice Thursday, one day after stating his knee hasn’t felt this good since September. He still insists he’ll play Sunday but Coach Whisenhunt has yet to announce if Wells or Tim Hightower will start Sunday.

Saints RB’s Chris Ivory(shoulder) and Reggie Bush(fibula) were both limited during Thursday practice but are expected to play Sunday. I wouldn’t get overly excited about either of these guys, but if you had to start one, i’d go with Bush based purely on his play making ability. I wouldn’t expect Coach Payton to give Bush a heavy workload, i’d look for 8-10 touches but he could always break a big play. Pierre Thomas(ankle) has yet to participate in team drills during practice but is at least in pads and doing individual drills. Coach Payton says, “I think we’ve turned a corner”, which is a positive sign but he won’t be back until at least next week at the earlier.

Bengals RB Cedric Benson(foot) returned to a limited practice Thursday. His status isn’t yet known but we’d expect him to suit up in a great matchup at home against the Bills.

LeSean McCoy(shoulder) was limited in practice Thursday but he’s fully expected to play. I mean the guy played through broken ribs, I’d be shocked if he didn’t go this week against the Giants. We’ll keep you posted on any updates but signs point toward McCoy playing.

11/17 Injury Updates

Panthers RB DeAngelo Williams has officially been placed on IR ending his season with a sprained left foot. This opens the door for Jonathan Stewart, who has been less than impressive thus far to take over the reigns if he can return this week from a concussion. If not Mike Goodson would get the nod once again against the Ravens.

Texans QB Matt Schaub was hospitilized Tuesday night with a bursa sac in his knee. It is unknown if he had surgery but coach Kubiak stated that he is doing good and will be back with the team tomorrow. It doesn’t seem like a huge issue but we’ll monitor the situation closely as the week goes on.

Bengals RB Cedric Benson sat out Wednesday’s practice with an undisclosed injury. During Sunday’s loss to the Colts, Benson did leave the game briefly but did return later on so I don’t think its too serious. If he can’t go for some reason, Bernard Scott would get the start.

Pierre Thomas has reportedly returned to practice but is not participating much. He is likely still a “few” weeks away from returning. It looks like he’ll avoid IR but he’s been out since week 3 so even after his potential return, who knows what he’ll be able to contribute. SOURCE: Jason La Canfora on Twitter

Saints RB Reggie Bush(leg) is expected to play this week against the Seahawks.

Colts WR Austin Collie(concussion) has been cleared to practice but coach Caldwell said he wants Collie to practice in full before before declaring him good to go Sunday. It’s a great sign that he’s been cleared and we’d expect him to practice Thursday or Friday and go Sunday against the Patriots. SOURCE: Phillip B. Wilson on Twitter

Chargers Receiver

    Malcom Floyd

(hamstring) practiced in full Wednesday and is expected to start this weekend. RB Ryan Mathews(ankle) was unable to practice today as well as Antonio Gates(toe). Both are risky starts this week and not very likely to suit up.

Vikings QB Brett Favre(shoulder) was involved in Wednesday’s walkthrough and it looks likely Favre will go Sunday even though he is just riddled with injuries. With the Vikings season basically over its surprising they’ll keep running him out there. Favre however, at less than 100% they must feel is still better than Tavaris Jackson at full strength.

Lions receiver Calvin Johnson sat out Wednesday’s practice with an undisclosed injury. It’s unlikely that its anything to serious but we’ll monitor the situation just in case. RB Jahvid Best(turf toe) was held out of practice Wednesday as well. He will likely suit up as he has for weeks now, but this doesn’t look good for him as he hasn’t been very productive. Kevin Smith would start if Best couldn’t go.

Chiefs TE Tony Moeaki(concussion) was unable to practice Wednesday and his chances to start Sunday are decreasing. We’ll see if he can get out there tomorrow.

Panthers QB Jimmy Clausen(concussion) didn’t participate in Wednesday’s practice and its not likely he’ll play Sunday against the Ravens. If he sits, Tony Pike will make his first career start.

11/16 Player News

Redskins RB Ryan Torain(hamstring) will be visiting the doctor about this injury. He was expected to start last nights game before feeling some tightness and rookie Keiland Williams carried the load. Williams would be a RB2 in PPR leagues against the Titans if Torain were to sit out this week. Right now it doesn’t look good for the oft-injured Torain to go in Week 11. Stay Tuned.

Bears WR Johnny Knox(flu, ankle) practiced Tuesday and should be fine for this weeks game.

Chiefs rookie TE Tony Moeaki suffered a concussion during Sunday’s blow out loss to the Broncos. Stay tuned to us as we will monitor his test results to see if he can play this week.

Giants receiver Steve Smith(torn pectoral muscle) is expected to be out until early December, opening the door for Mario Manningham to have some big games during that stretch. 2nd year man Ramses Barden suffered a left foot injury during Sunday’s loss to the Cowboys and has been placed on IR. In a response move, they resigned WR Derek Hagans who will split #3 receiver duties with rookie Duke Calhoun.

Steelers cut K Jeff Reed today and signed former Redskin Kicker Shane Suisham. Reed, who missed a chip shot field goal Sunday against the Patriots has struggled all season.

Steelers coach Mike Tomlin said Tuesday that he expects WR Hines Ward(concussion) to play this week. Ward left Sunday’s loss early and ended his 186 consecutive game streak with at least one reception. It looks like he’ll start a new streak Sunday.

Cards RB Beanie Wells(knee) who was inactive Sunday, is believed to have healed up during the week off and is expected to return Week 11.

Raiders WR Darrius Heyward-Bey(hamstring) is in serious danger of missing this weeks game. The bye week apparently didn’t help the injury heal and you should make other arrangements if he was someone you are relying on. His absense would allow week 9 Raider hero Jacoby Ford to draw another start.

Chargers RB Ryan Mathews(ankle) is still not 100% after the bye week and remains questionable for Sunday’s game.

Chargers WR Malcom Floyd(hamstring) returned to practice Monday and appears to be ready to go this week after missing the past few games. With Floyd returning as well as Vincent Jackson in week 12, Seyi Arijotutu and Patrick Crayton appear to have only one “valuable” week left in them so take advantage in week 11.

Antonio Gates(toe) still is not sure if he’ll play this week so stay tuned and be prepared to find another option in case he can’t go.

Bills rookie CJ Spiller(hamstring) is considered out indefinitely and Fred Jackson‘s value goes way up. Jackson posted 170 total yards and two touchdowns in Sunday’s win vs. the Lions.

Panthers QB Jimmy Clausen suffered a concussion Sunday and his week 11 status is up in the air. Fellow rookie QB Tony Pike would be next in line to start if Clausen can’t go.

Colts RB Joseph Addai(neck) is expected to return this week, but he’ll have to appear in practice at least once to guarantee. Addai’s return would be big  for the Colts especially since Donald Brown hasn’t shown anything.

Jets WR Jericho Cotchery(groin) is expected to miss at least two weeks after suffering a groin tear in Sunday’s come from behind win over the Browns.

Seahawks QB Matt Hasselback(wrist) is expected to start Sunday against the Saints.

The Saints are hoping to get Pierre Thomas(ankle) back on the practice field some time this week, but that remains very iffy. It’s more likely that we’ll see Thomas return to the field in Week 12 rather than this week. We’ll keep you posted on his status. Reggie Bush(leg) says he fully expects to play this week after missing the last eight weeks. I wouldn’t expect a huge workload from Bush even if he returns and Thomas does not as they will likely work him back into the mix slowly. Bush isn’t more than a flex starter at best for his first game back.

Fantasy Savvy Player Rankings (Week 8)

QB’s

  1. Peyton Manning vs. HOU
  2. Matt Schaub @ IND
  3. Phillip Rivers vs. TEN
  4. Ben Roethlisberger @ NO
  5. Aaron Rodgers @ NYJ
  6. Drew Brees vs. PIT- I have a feeling this is the week Brees and the Saints break out of this slump even though they face the league’s best defense. Just a hunch.
  7. Tom Brady vs. MIN
  8. Kyle Orton vs. SF
  9. Matthew Stafford vs. WAS- Stafford returns this week against 31st ranked pass defense. Solid start.

10.  Chad Henne @ CIN- Bengals have struggled against the pass and Henne has been more efficient as of late.

11.  Matt Cassel vs. BUF

12.  Carson Palmer vs. MIA

13.  Ryan Fitzpatrick @ KC- Tough matchup but should be able to throw for 200 yards and a score.

14.  Brett Favre @ NE – Think he’ll play and keep that streak going, if not Tavaris Jackson will get the nod.

15.  Josh Freeman @ ARI

16.  Mark Sanchez vs. GB

17.  Jon Kitna vs. JAX- Kitna with a full week of practice with the starters and facing the Jaguars defense at home could have a nice day.

18.  Donavan McNabb @ DET- The Lions haven’t been bad against the pass and McNabb coming off a terrible game in Chicago.

19.  Sam Bradford vs. CAR

20.  Matt Moore @ STL

21.  David Garrard @ DAL

22.  Matt Hasselback @ OAK

23.  Bruce Gradkowski/Jason Campbell vs. SEA- not sure whose going to go yet, but either way not a great matchup.

24.  Max Hall vs. TB

25.  Vince Young @ SD- Hate this matchup especially coming off the injury. SD 1st against the pass and 4th against the run make VY a must bench.

26.  Troy Smith vs. DEN- Gets his first start as a Niner, in London and will likely struggle but like him better than David Carr.

27.  Tavaris Jackson @ NE- May get the start in New England but isn’t starter worthy at this point.

RB’s

1) Adrian Peterson @ NE- Vikings will be geared towards the run whether or not Farve plays.

2) Frank Gore vs Denver- Game is in London, Troy Smith starting means Gore will get 25+ carries against a Broncos Run D that was gashed by Run DMC last week.

3) Beanie Wells vs TB- Beanie will have a huge game against TB and their 31st ranked run D. Coach Whisenhunt just declared Beanie the starter, expect him to get 25+ carries in this game.

4) Rashad Mendenhall @ NO- Steelers will run the ball to keep Brees off the field and they will do it with success.

5) Arian Foster @ Indy- Foster abused this Colts run D in week 1, but Colts had bye week to fix their mistakes and will do a bit of a better job on him this time, Foster still gets his though.

6) Chris Johnson @ SD- Quiet game last week, expect a rebound.

7) Jamal Charles vs Buffalo- Is this the week he goes for 150+ on the ground? It’s gonna happen sooner than later.

8) Darren Mcfadden vs Sea- Seattle has a tough run D, but Mcfadden is running beastly right now and can exploit the weak side of the Seattle D.

8A) Steven Jackson vs Car- Will get a 100 yards and possibly a score which is rare for SJ.

9) Maurice Jones-Drew @ Dallas- Finally got the receiving numbers last week, expect that to continue as he will be focal point of the offense.

10) Ryan Torain @ Det- Ran for a 125 vs Chicago, he should be able to go for a 100 against Detroit, may see a TD too.

11) Jahvid Best @ Washington- Bye week helped him rest his Turf Toes, not 100% yet but close. This guy could go nuts at anytime.

12) Felix Jones vs Jac- Jaguars pass d is brutal and their run d isn’t much better ranked 25th, Jones is a great option in ppr leagues this week.

13) Ladainian Tomlinson vs GB- Looked great before the bye week, now with a week to rest he will be fresh and put up solid numbers against GB.

14) Thomas Jones vs Buffalo- Buffalo has the worst run d in the Nfl and Jones will grind out yards against them. Look for about 80 yards and a TD.

15) Marshawn Lynch @ Oakland- Lynch is averaging under 3 YPC as a Seahawk, but should find some running room against the Raiders porous Run D.

16) Ronnie Brown @ Cincy- Cincy’s Run D has been bad this year ranked 22nd and got gashed last week by Michael Turner. Brown might have his best game of the year.

17) Jonathan Stewart @ STL- Looks DeAngelo will be out, so Stewart will take the reins and should have a fairly solid day.

18) Cedric Benson @ Miami- Not crazy about Benson, probably will have his usual 70 yard no TD game. Will see.

19) Donald Brown @ Houston- Looks like Addai will be out, but stay tuned. If he is Brown should take the majority of the carries over Mike Hart.

20) Ryan Matthews vs Ten- Matthews is getting healthier and averaging 4.7 YPC but Norv Turner hasn’t called his number enough, might change this week.

21) Shonn Greene vs GB- Rex Ryan says Greene will be heavily involved going forward. Will see, could be great news for Owners who stuck with Greene or Owners who bought low.

22) Knoshown Moreno vs SF- Questionable with hammy, risky start if he plays.

22 A) Fred Jackson @ KC- KC has a dead solid, Run D ranked 6th overall.

23) Danny Woodhead vs Minnesota- Brandon Jackson found some success last week against Minny’s Run D, they aren’t as tough as they used to be and Woodhead will be a factor in the pass game.

24) Legarette Blount @ Arizona- Should get the most carries but will still split time with Cadillac and Earnest Graham for now.

25) Brandon Jackson @ NYJ- Running a bit better of late, but real tough matchup. Still Jackson has shown improvement.

26) Chris Ivory vs Pittsburgh

27) Ricky Williams @ Cincy

28) Cadillac Williams @ Arizona

29) Ben Jarvus Green-Ellis vs Minnesota

30) Darren Sproles vs Ten

31) Mike Hart vs Houston

32) Marion Barber vs Jax

33) C.J. Spiller @ KC- if the Bills would only get him the ball

34) Justin Forsett @ Oakland

35) Michael Bush vs Sea

36) Tim Hightower @ Oakland – looks to be in the doghouse after 2 more fumbles last week

37) Mike Tolbert vs Ten

38) Derrick Ward @ Indy

39) Ladell Betts vs Pitt

40) Toby Gerhart @ NE

WR’s

  1. Reggie Wayne vs. HOU
  2. Calvin Johnson vs. WAS
  3. Andre Johnson @ IND
  4. Miles Austin vs. JAX
  5. Brandon Marshall @ CIN
  6. Santana Moss @ DET
  7. Mike Wallace @ NO- The Saints are vulnerable to the big play, and Mike Wallace is just the guy to expose them.
  8. Randy Moss @ NE – If Favre plays, he’ll have a big welcome back to New England game, If Tavaris Jackson starts, move Moss down about 15 spots
  9. Brandon Lloyd vs. SF- I expect him to bounce back in a big way this week.

10.  Greg Jennings @ NYJ

11.  Steve Smith(CAR) @ STL

12.  Marques Colston vs. PIT

13.  Pierre Garcon vs. HOU

14.  Dwayne Bowe vs. BUF- Expect a third straight big game out of this guy.

15.  Terrell Owens vs. Mia

16.  Wes Welker vs. MIN

17.  Percy Harvin @ NE- Obviously without Favre bump him down, but not as much as Moss, only about 5-6 spots.

18.  Hines Ward @ NO

19.  Kenny Britt @ SD- I know he’s against the top pass defense in the NFL but after last week, how could you put him outside the top 20?

20.  Larry Fitzgerald vs. TB

21.  Patrick Crayton vs. TEN

22.  Chad OchoCinco vs. MIA

23.  Santonio Holmes vs. GB- Holmes will get more involved in the passing game this week.

24.  Mike Williams(TB) @ ARI

25.  Steve Johnson @ KC

26.  Dez Bryant vs. JAX

27.  Nate Burleson vs. WAS- The Redskins rank 31st against the pass, so Burleson could put up a solid day.

28.  Donald Driver @ NYJ

29.  Deion Branch vs. MIN

30.  Davone Bess @ CIN

31.  Jacoby Jones @ IND

32.  Braylon Edwards vs. GB

33.  Danny Amendola vs. CAR

34.  Jabar Gaffney vs. SF

35.  Mike Thomas @ DAL

36.  Michael Crabtree vs. DEN

37.  Robert Meachem vs. PIT

38.  Roy Williams vs. JAX

39.  Mike Williams(SEA) @ OAK

40.  Lee Evans @ KC- He’ll be lined up against Brandon Flowers and I don’t see him having a huge day like the past two weeks.

41.  Lance Moore vs. PIT

42.  Mike Sims-Walker @ DAL

43.  Steve Breaston vs. TB- Should return from knee injury, but don’t expect a big day just yet.

44.  Eddie Royal vs. SF

45.  Nate Washington @ SD

46.  Buster Davis vs. TEN

47.  Darrius Heyward-Bey vs. SEA

48.  David Gettis @ STL- I wouldn’t expect a game where he surpasses the century mark and gets in the end zone again, but 50-60 yards is feasible.

49.  James Jones @ NYJ

50.  Anthony Gonzalez vs. HOU- Expected back finally this week, could be a sleeper since he is the number three option without Collie and Clark.

TE’s

1) Jason Witten vs Jax- Kitna will target him a ton.

2) Antonio Gates vs Ten

3) Chris Cooley @ Detroit

4) Dustin Keller vs GB

5) Vernon Davis vs Denver

6) Aaron Hernandez vs Minnesota

7) Kellen Winslow @ AZ

8) Heath Miller @ NO

Fantasy Breakdown of 1 O’clock games- Week 7

By: Alan Squatrito

Falcons vs. Bengals
The Cincinnati Bengals travel to the Georgia Dome on Sunday to play the Atlanta Falcons. The Bengals lost two in a row against the Cleveland Browns and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers at home. This is a must win for the Bengals who were on top of their division last year, sweeping their division. With cornerback Dunta Robinson out for the Falcons (concussion from Desean Jackson hit), Ochocinco just might have his best day of the season.  Expect Carson Palmer and Chad Ochocinco to hook up all day and rekindle their on field relationship. Carson Palmer just needs to step up his game, especially on third downs.  Michael Turner should have a solid day against a team who has been giving up 4.4 yards a carry. Matty Ice should play fairly well as he gets Michael Jenkins back on the field this week. I also see Cedric Benson making a solid fantasy impression this week as well.

Dolphins vs. Steelers
The Miami Dolphins went to Lambeau Field and squeaked one out last week against the Packers, winning by a field goal. Chad Henne looked a lot more comfortable in the pocket. Clay Mathews was out last week and the Packers have been losing their identity on defense as of late but I believe the Dolphins are going to play at home with confidence this week, from last week’s win. With the season on its way for 6 weeks look for the Steelers to struggle a little bit early. I like Henne in the pass game this weekend at home because the Steelers defense has been faring well against the run while their pass defense has some catching up to do. Look for Marshall, Henne, and Heath Miller to have solid fantasy days in week 7.

Ravens vs. Bills
The Ravens faceoff against the Buffalo Bills this weekend at home and they were contemplating starting Ed Reed who is healthy at free safety. The Ravens feel confident enough that they can bench Ed Reed (safe him) and still get the win against the Bills. I happen to agree. The Bills who rank last in rushing defense aren’t going to fix their rush d overnight, or during the rest of the season. Look for McGahee and Ray Rice to have solid fantasy days on the ground because of the blow out game. The Bills are desperate for a win, but I don’t see them coming close. Lee Evans is due for a big day or can have a decent outing on Sunday with his usual one catch, which is a deep ball, for a score.

Chiefs vs. Jags
This is the defense to start this weekend. Kansas City Chiefs are coming off a heartbreaking loss to the Texans last week within the final minute of the game. That doesn’t even matter. Arrowhead stadium is supposedly the hardest place to play at in the NFL. Also, David Garrard is out with a concussion. Also, Trent Edwards is questionable with a serious thumb sprain on his throwing hand. Wait a minute. Are you trying to tell me that the Jag’s third string quarterback may start this weekend in Arrowhead stadium? Ought oh, who even is their third string quarterback? Todd Bauman, he hasn’t played a game in 5 years. It’s going to be a long day for the Jags and I expect Dwayne Bowe to continue his fantasy stats and play well this weekend. I also think Tony Moeki, Thomas Jones, and Jamaal Charles all have a day. Look for Maurice Jones Drew to carry the load for the Jags but the load is going to be way too heavy. Pocket Hercules may have a decent day if you have in a ppr league and they give the kid some screens to find him with the ball in some space. This is going to be a fun game to watch for Chiefs fans.

Saints vs. Browns
The Saints finally are starting to play like we know they can, with swagger. Chris Ivory has filled the running game hole and is acclimating very quickly to the speed of the NFL. Colt McCoy is getting his second start this weekend and I expect him to be blitzed more this weekend more than he was last weekend. I still see the Great White Water Buffalo (Peyton Hillis) having a solid fantasy day. I like the Saints in this game as everyone else in the world does. Marques Colston should have a great day at home this weekend and Chris Ivory will carry the load as well. The Browns are one of the worst ranked rushing and passing defenses in the NFL this year, that’s not good. Plug in Drew Brees and watch him pour on the stats all day, all day.

Bears vs. Redskins
Chicago, Illinois native Donovan McNabb goes back to wear he was born and raised to cause some havoc. The Bears still have problems protecting Jay Cutler but the Washington Redskins pass defense is ranked 31st, but stats aren’t always what they seem. The Redskins have faced Tony Romo, Matt Schaub, Kevin Kolb, Aaron Rodgers, and Peyton Manning during the regular season and two of those games went into overtime letting the passing yards rack up. Mike Shanahan changed their defense from a 4-3 to a 3-4 because he loved what he saw in Dick LeBeau’s Steeler defense last year. Albert Haynesworth has only seen 16 percent of all the Redskins defensive plays this year. He will be active for Sunday’s game this week. Their defense is filled with talented players and it’s only a matter of time before they all put it together. I like the Redskins in this game and I like Donovan McNabb to sling the ball around and have two or three passing touchdowns.  Jay Cutler should still par well and I think Johnny Knox will have a solid day in ppr leagues and Devin Hester may get a deep ball to the house just because he’s due. Anthony Armstrong is the new deep threat for Redskins and he could be a solid flex play this week against a weak Bears secondary. I am not a big fan of Matt Forte this week.

Panthers vs. 49ers
Panthers head coach John Fox finally brightened up and decided to start Matt Moore once again for the second time this season. DeAngelo Williams can only benefit from this and play better and the real Steve Smith is back on the field again after a high ankle sprain. I like the 49ers in this game still because they are a better team than what is on paper and they are starting to get a hot hand. Matt Moore and the rest of the Panthers will start to turn it around this season desperate for a win but it will be a slow start with Matt Moore having to get acclimated to game speed once again. Look for Patrick Willis to make a lot of plays this game and the 49ers to have something to talk about on the airplane home. I love Frank Gore, Crabtree, and Vernon Davis this week despite his bruised knee. I think all of the Panthers players are still risky starts until you see them making some progress. Bench all of the Panthers with confidence this week. Give them just one more week.

Buccaneers vs. Rams
Having home field advantage is always a good thing to have. The Rams hate it when opposing teams have home field advantage this year and they have yet to win a road game. This Sunday they have a great chance to get their first road game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers but it still won’t happen. Despite how well rookie Sam Bradford has been playing I still have to see it to believe it once again and for their first time on the road. I still do expect Steven Jackson to run all over the Buccaneers and break Erik Dickerson’s franchise rushing record for the Rams. Jackson just needs 32 yards.  I expect the Buccaneers to make big plays on special teams, defense, and offense. I like Kellen Winslow and Mike Williams in this game to rack up some solid fantasy points.

Titans vs. Eagles
Vince Young is doubtful for week 7 against the Eagles, but that doesn’t matter too much because Kerry Collins can still get the job done, and will. Kevin Kolb has been playing well but can LeSean McCoy still carry the load with his injured ribs? I think Jerome Harrison is going to have to jump in and steel a dozen of carries if they want to stay in this game. The Eagles rank 22nd against the run and we are still waiting for Chris Johnson to have that 50 point game that carries our team to victory without even checking back on your score for the rest of the evening. I think Chris Johnson has his best game of the season by far in week 7 and carry the whole load. I like Kenny Britt if he plays (possible benching from barfight) as a low end number three while Bo Scaife should be a low end number one tight end this weekend. Jeremy Maclin seems to be a solid number three receiver/low end number two. I like the Titans to win this game by 13 points.
