11/27 Player News

The Raiders have announced that Bruce Gradkowski and not Jason Campbell will start Sunday against the Dolphins. SOURCE: : Adam Schefter on Twitter

Raiders TE Zach Miller(foot) and Darrius Heyward-Bey(hamstring) are both expected to start Sunday. Miller is an average start as he still doesn’t appear to be 100% and DHB is just too inconsistent to be trusted week in and out.

Maurice Jones-Drew(abdomen) is listed as questionable for Sunday against the Giants but is fully expected to play. He will however be without LT Eugene Monroe which will make MJD’s matchup tougher, but he is a must start. Mike Sims-Walker(ankle) is listed as questionable but is believed to be in the lineup. I’d sit him either way as long as you have another option as I can’t see him being close to 100%.

Titans WR Kenny Britt(hamstring) has been officially ruled out once again. Rookie QB Rusty Smith will make his first start against the horrid Texans pass defense, making Nate Washington and Randy Moss decent options even with the rookie under center.

Texans TE Owen Daniels(hamstring) has been ruled out meaning Joel Dreessen will start once again and is a low end TE1 this week.

Redskins WR Santana Moss(hamstring) is going to be a game time decision and I recommend sitting him as these hamstring injuries can flare up at a moments notice. If you have another option, use him.

Panthers RB Jonathan Stewart(concussion) and QB Jimmy Clausen(concussion) are both expected to return this week. Stewart will likely split carries with Mike Goodson in his return against the Browns.

Browns QB Jake Delhomme(ankle) is 100% healed and will get the start with Colt McCoy and Seneca Wallace nursing ankle injuries. He is not a fantasy option.

Seahawks receiver Mike Williams(foot) is going to be a game time decision and will play sparingly even if he does play. Explore other options and keep Williams on benches for the time being.

Chiefs TE Tony Moeaki(concussion) and Dexter McCluster(ankle) are both expected to return to the lineup Sunday in Seattle. Moeaki is a low end TE1 while McCluster shouldn’t be started unless your in return yardage leagues.

Dolphins receiver Brandon Marshall(hamstring) will miss his first game due to injury in his career. QB Chad Henne(knee) apparently has some miracle healer because two weeks ago we thought his season was over, but he will now start Sunday in Oakland.

Chargers TE Antonio Gates(foot) is a game time decision but most reports i’ve read lean towards him sitting. Don’t wait until 8pm to see if he’s active, start someone else. RB Ryan Mathews(ankle) will sit again leaving Mike Tolbert to get the bulk of the carries against the Colts and their 30th ranked run defense.

Colts WR Austin Collie(concussion), RB’s Joseph Addai(neck) and Mike Hart(ankle) have all been ruled out for Sunday night. WR Blair White will play for Collie while Donald Brown will carry the load at RB. Reggie Wayne(knee) will play even though he is currently listed as questionable.

49ers TE Vernon Davis(ankle) is ready to go after a good week of practice. The ankle has been bothering him for weeks now it appears and shouldn’t be an issue going forward, start Davis.

Turkey Day Player News

Happy Thanksgiving everyone hope everyone has a happy and safe holiday with friends and family. Here is the latest player news from around the league.

Patriots QB Tom Brady(foot) is listed as questionable today but is fully expected to start in Detroit. Don’t hesitate to start him today, he’s good to go.

Cowboys RB Felix Jones(hip) practiced fully Wednesday and is a go today against the Saints.

Saints RB Reggie Bush(leg) is expected to finally make his return in Dallas today while fellow back Pierre Thomas(ankle) is going to sit this one out. Thomas is hoping to make a week 13 return.

Dolphins WR Brandon Marshall(hamstring) is likely to miss this weeks game in Oakland and you shouldn’t be surprised if he misses multiple weeks with this injury. If this is true, Davone Bess and Brian Hartline’s value would increase significantly going forward. SOURCE: South Florida Sun-Sentinel

Browns QB Jake Delhomme(ankle) is now 100% recovered and will start Sunday for the injured Colt McCoy(ankle). The Browns QB’s have all suffered high ankle sprains at one point or another this year and Seneca Wallace apparently isn’t fully healed from his, otherwise he’d be the starter Sunday. TE Ben Watson(ankle) was held out of practice again Wednesday and his Week 12 status is up in the air.

Joseph Addai(neck) was limited in practice Wednesday and fully expects to be a game time decision Sunday night. If you don’t have the luxury of waiting around for Sunday night, make other arrangements.

Giants RB Ahmad Bradshaw has lost his starting job to Brandon Jacobs after losing his 5th fumble Sunday against the Eagles. Bradshaw is tied for the league lead in fumbles and coach Coughlin has had enough. Bradshaw will see significant touches and will end up with the better fantasy day as well. Bradshaw is my #11 running back this week so start with confidence.

Raiders Pro Bowl corner Nnamdi Asomugha(ankle) is reported to make his return to the lineup this upcoming Sunday against the Dolphins according to coach Tom Cable.’

Panthers RB Jonathan Stewart(concussion) practiced in full on Wednesday and all signs point toward him returning to the starting lineup Sunday in Cleveland. Mike Goodson has played the best out of the Panther RB’s the last two weeks but Stewarts return will knock Goodson’s touches to around 10 this week. Stewart has been disappointing thus far and i’d wait a week at least to see if he can turn it around against a very good Browns defense at home.

11/23 Player Updates

Colts Receiver Austin Collie(concussion) has already been ruled out for Sunday’s game against the Chargers as a “precaution”. Blair White will fill the slot receiver role and is a solid flex play especially in PPR leagues. Teammate Joseph Addai(neck) will be participating only in non contact work this week during practice. Many believed he’d be able to return during week 12, but this news leads us to believe week 13 is more likely. Donald Brown, who looked much better this past week, would draw another start if Addai is inactive.

Chargers activated Vincent Jackson from the roster exempt list and he is expected to play a significant role in the offense Sunday in Indy. RB Ryan Mathews(ankle) is unlikely to play as well, meaning another start for Mike Tolbert against the leagues 30th ranked run defense. Malcom Floyd(hamstring) tweaked his hammy Monday night and is likely to be a game time decision Sunday. With the game being Sunday night, if you have other options i’d use them instead of holding out hope of Floyd playing. TE Antonio Gates(foot) is still unsure if he’ll be able to come back week 12. Gates is such a tough competitor, I can’t rule his return out completely in a big game like this, but we’ll have to take a wait and see approach. As with Floyd, if you have another  option use him with the game being late.

Chargers wideout Patrick Crayton, had a decent game Monday night until he dislocated his wrist. Crayton finished with 3 catches for 105 yards and a touchdown but is now likely to be sidelined at least two weeks. If Crayton and Floyd can’t go, look for Vincent Jackson and Seyi Arijotutu to get the start in a good matchup in Indy.

Giants WR Hakeem Nicks is going to be out at least three weeks with compartment syndrome in his lower right leg. With fellow wideout Steve Smith already on the shelf for at least another week, look for Mario Manningham and Derek Hagan to start Sunday. The Giants also signed former Bucs wideout Michael Clayton from the UFL today. Clayton showed some flashes while in Tampa but never put it together consistently, maybe some time away from the NFL helped him develop and hopefully be able to help the Giants depleted receiving corp.

Dolphins wideout Brandon Marshall, who suffered a hamstring injury during last Thursday’s home loss to the Bears, says he will “do everything in my power to play Sunday.” Marshall has never missed a game because of injury and hopefully that streak continues, but hamstrings are very tough to recover from without the proper amount of rest, so stay tuned.

Browns QB Colt McCoy is believed to have suffered a high ankle sprain during Sunday’s loss to the Jaguars. If he is unable to go this week, look for Seneca Wallace to return as the Browns starter. TE Ben Watson, was in and out of the lineup Sunday after suffering an ankle injury and was held without a catch. There currently is no updates on this matter and as soon as we have one, we will be sure to pass it along to you.

Lions RB Jahvid Best(turf toe) is having more and more issues with it and was outproduced by Maurice Morris during Sunday’s loss to the Cowboys. Best is not likely to suit up Thursday against the Patriots and with Kevin Smith placed on IR, Maurice Morris would get the start and is a decent flex play in PPR leagues.

Saints RB Reggie Bush(leg) is likely to go Thursday against the Cowboys while Pierre Thomas(ankle) was held out of Tuesdays practice and Jeff Duncan of the New Orleans Time-Picayune assumes there has been a setback in Thomas’ recovery. A Thursday afternoon return is even more unlikely return date for Thomas if he’s unable to practice at all just two days prior. We will continue to monitor this but don’t give up on Thomas just yet has he could be a juggernaut for you during your fantasy playoffs.

Redskins RB Clinton Portis(groin) who started Sunday’s game against the Titans, reaggravated it and was unable to return, leaving Keiland Williams to shoulder the load. Portis, in my estimation is done this year and Ryan Torain(hamstring) is more than likely to be ruled out this week as well, leaving Williams to carry the load once again, against the Vikings.

49ers TE Vernon Davis left Sunday’s home loss to the Bucs after aggravating the same ankle he sprained a few weeks back. Davis states that its not that serious but we’ll keep an eye on this going into Monday nights game with the division rival Cardinals.

Panthers RB Jonathan Stewart(concussion) was unable to practice Tuesday and his week 12 status is uncertain. Stewart has missed the last two weeks with this concussion and Mike Goodson has filled in admirably. Stewart still has a ton of talent, but in re-draft leagues it is almost time to cut bait completely.

Titans WR Kenny Britt(hamstring) has been ruled out for Week 12 already. Britt more than likely won’t return until at least Week 14, if he’s lucky. With the Titans loss of Vince Young however, Britt is looking a little less attractive even if he does return if rookie Rusty Smith is under center.

Cardinals receiver Early Doucet has been diagnosed with a concussion after leaving Sunday’s game in the 2nd quarter. Doucet will be monitored throughout the week but I wouldn’t count on him suiting up Monday night against the 49ers.

Seahawks receiver Mike Williams, after posting a 6-109 day Sunday left the game in the third quarter after feeling something pop in his foot. He was unable to return to the game and his status for going forward is dependent upon his response to treatment according to coach Pete Carroll. Week 12 at the very least seems to be a wash as far as Williams is concerned so make other plans.

Jaguars receiver Mike Sims-Walker has now been diagnosed with a high ankle sprain, which kept him out of Sunday’s win against the Browns. Sims-Walker is unlikely to play this Sunday against the Giants too, so make other arrangements if he’s in your current lineup.

A few late night updates

Redskins TE Chris Cooley (concussion) is expected to play @ Chicago so keep him in lineups.

Titans WR Kenny Britt (bar fight) will play Sunday but will not start. He’s not a great option with Kerry Collins under center so if you have other options, explore them. Justin Gage will get the start after missing two games with a thumb injury.

As expected, QB Colt McCoy will make his second consecutive start for the Browns with Jake Delhomme and Seneca Wallace both officially being ruled out with ankle injuries. WR Mohammed Massaquoi(concussion) has also been ruled out while Josh Cribbs(concussion) will play.

Raiders RB Darren McFadden(hamstring) is going to play but his role is not yet known.

Chargers TE Antonio Gates(toe) is expected to start but is still being called a game time decision.SOURCE: Kevin Acee on Twitter

We will have active/inactives listed tomorrow morning after they are announced sometime after 11:30 AM EST.

49ers News

WR Josh Morgan(thigh) was a full participant in Friday’s practice and is expected to play Sunday in Carolina. CB Nate Clements(ankle) is likely to miss Sunday’s game which could mean a big day for Steve Smith who himself is returning from an ankle injury. TE Vernon Davis(knee) practiced with no issues this week and will start Sunday.

Bears News

LB Lance Briggs(ankle) was able to practice Friday and is expected to start Sunday. IDP leaguers get him back into your lineups against the Redskins.

CB Jonathan Joseph(ankle) is questionable for Sunday’s game in Atlanta. Joseph is likely to play, however may not be 100% meaning Roddy White could have a big day.

Bills News

No Major injuries effecting your fantasy squad.

Broncos News

CB Champ Bailey(ribs) has the best chance at playing this week over the rest of the Broncos on the injury report. WR Eddie Royal(groin) participated in a limited fashion during Friday’s practice and will be a game time decision. If you have another option, use him over Royal who even if he does play won’t be 100%.

Browns News

RB Peyton Hillis(quadricep) is probable this week and should play in a pretty good matchup against the Saints. WR/KR Josh Cribbs (concussion) is expected to play Sunday. WR Mohammed Massaquoi(concussion) is listed as doubtful and likely won’t suit up against the Saints. Rookie QB Colt McCoy will get the start once again this week while QB’s Jake Delhomme(ankle) and Seneca Wallace (ankle) sit out.

Buccaneers News

RB Earnest Graham (hamstring) is questionable this week and isn’t likely to play Sunday. Cadillac Williams and LaGarette Blount are expected to shoulder the load in a good matchup against the Rams. TE Kellen Winslow(knee) practiced in full late this week and will play Sunday.

Cardinals News

WR’s Steve Breaston(knee) and Early Doucet (groin) are both being considered game time decisions. If you have other options or cannot wait until the 4pm game to make a roster decision, look elsewhere. Rookie WR Stephen Williams (back) is not likely to play Sunday and could miss some more time as he is dealing with a small fracture in his back.

Chargers News

WR’s Malcom Floyd and Legedu Naanee(hamstring) are both unlikely to play Sunday in what would be great matchup against the Patriots. TE Antonio Gates(toe) will be a game time decision, but many close to the Chargers believe Gates will play. RB Ryan Mathews (ankle) practiced in full Friday and will start. Mathews is a high end RB2 against the weak Pats defense.

Chiefs News

No significant Fantasy news.

Colts News

The Colts are on a bye this week, however they are just riddled with injuries. TE Dallas Clark(hand/wrist) was placed on IR ending his season. WR Austin Collie(foot) had surgery this week and will be sidelined at least two weeks. RB Joseph Addai (shoulder) is seeking a second opinion on his shoulder but sources say he will probably miss the next 4-5 weeks. There is nothing torn just some nerve damage. Donald Brown(hamstring ) would be first in line to start with Addai out but he just can’t seem to get healed up. Mike Hart would get the starting nod in Week 8 if Brown is unable to go.

Cowboys News

Dez Bryant (ribs/ankle) is fully healthy according to sources and will play Monday night against the Giants.

Dolphins News

No significant Fantasy News

Eagles News

Michael Vick(ribs) will not start Sunday but will dress and will be emergency QB. Vick is expected to return to a starting role in week 9 after next weeks bye. RB LeSean McCoy(broken rib) says his rib is not yet fully healed but has been playing through it and will continue to do so. WR Desean Jackson(concussion) will not play Sunday but will likely return week 9 after next weeks bye, as long as he passes all his tests.

Falcons News

CB Dunta Robinson(concussion) will not play Sunday. Robinson suffered to concussion on a devastating hit on Eagle receiver Desean Jackson who will not play this week either.

NY Giants News

WR Hakeem Nicks(hamstring fatigue) will play Monday against the Cowboys. Nicks said its just some fatigue and will be fine.

NY Jets News

The Jets are on a bye this week and have no significant injuries.

Jaguars News

QB David Garrard(concussion) will not play Sunday. Coach Jack Del Rio will not announce a starter until Sunday. It will be between Trent Edwards and Todd Bouman, neither of which is a viable option.

Lions News

The Lions are on a bye this week. QB Matthew Stafford(shoulder) is expected to return and start week 8. LB Zach Follett(stinger) was released from the hospital and thankfully will be ok. He layed motionless on the field during Sunday’s loss to the Giants after getting hit by DE Jason Pierre-Paul. It looked a lot worse and luckily he was not severely injured.

Packers News

WR Donald Driver(quadricep) returned to limited practice Friday and is listed as probable. Driver is very likely to play so keep him in your lineups. LB Clay Matthews(hamstring) is going to play Sunday but more than likely will only play on passing downs. If you don’t have other options, you have to start him, but if possible, bench him for this week as his total snaps will be limited.

Panthers News

WR Steve Smith(ankle) practiced in full and will start Sunday in a good matchup against the 49ers. Smith also gets Matt Moore back at QB and is a solid WR3 with WR2 upside this week.

Patriots News

RB Fred Taylor(turf toe) will be out once again this week. BenJarvus Green-Ellis and Danny Woodhead will split the carries and both are decent flex plays this week, especially Woodhead in PPR leagues. WR Julian Edelman(concussion) was limited at practice Friday and will be a game time decision.

Raiders News

QB Jason Campbell(knee) is likely to start Sunday unless he has a setback. He was able to practice on a limited basis the last few days so he should be good to go. This brings some value back to the Raiders receivers, who would have had little to none with Kyle Boller at the helm. Bruce Gradkowski(shoulder) is still unable to go. RB Darren McFadden is listed as questionable still but Coach Tom Cable believes he will play Sunday against the Broncos. Run DMC will likely split carries with Michael Bush and both are good flex plays.

Rams News

No significant fantasy news

Ravens News

TE Todd Heap, who suffered a shoulder injury after a big hit by Patriots Safety Brandon Meriweather, is expected to play Sunday against the Bills.

Redskins News

TE Chris Cooley, who suffered a concussion Sunday night is expected to play in Chicago Sunday. Check back in tomorrow with us to make sure but he looks like a go. RB Ryan Torain(ankle) is fine and will start in a tough matchup against the Bears.

Seahawks News

No significant fantasy news

Steelers News

RB Rashard Mendenhall(shoulder contusion) is not listed on the injury report and will start Sunday against the Dolphins. He is a low end RB1 this week.

Texans News

LB DeMeco Ryans(achilles) was placed on IR thus ending his 2010 season. LB Zac Diles is expected to fill in at MLB and could be a sleeper for tackles in IDP leagues.

Titans News

RB Chris Johnson(thigh) practiced in full Friday, and as we expected is going to start Sunday. QB Vince Young(knee/ankle) is not expected to play Sunday, meaning Kerry Collins will start. WR Kenny Britt(bar fight) is a game time decision as to whether or not coach Jeff Fischer will sit him for disciplinary reasons. Check back in tomorrow morning for an update. TE Bo Scaife(groin) is listed as questionable but expects to play Sunday against the Eagles.

Vikings News

WR Percy Harvin(hamstring) was limited in practice Friday but is expected to play Sunday against the rival Packers. He’s a solid WR3 this week.

10/12 Player Updates

The Patriots on Monday traded a 4th round pick to the Seattle Seahawks for receiver Deion Branch. Branch isn’t expected to take the job from Brandon Tate, but Tate needs to perform with Branch right behind him.

49ers QB Alex Smith will start Sunday against the Raiders but will have a short leash. I know he’s had his ups and downs, but David Carr is just not a better option. Smith I think will play better and hold onto this job for the remainder of the season.

Bears QB Jay Cutler is a go to start Sunday at home against the Seahawks in a really good matchup. SOURCE: Jason LaCanfora on Twitter

Packer TE Jermichael Finley underwent arthroscopic knee surgery today on his right knee. Early reports are that he will miss anywhere from 3-6 weeks. SOURCE: Jason La Canfora on Twitter

Seahawks Coach Pete Carroll said newly acquired RB Marshawn Lynch is in for a major role this Sunday in Chicago. Lynch makes for a solid flex start this week, with some RB2 upside.

Cowboys rookie Dez Bryant (ankle) is expected to practice in full Wednesday. It looks like he’ll be fine but we’ll monitor the situation closely as the week goes on. SOURCE: ESPN Dallas

The Vikings CB mess got worse Monday, as Cedric Griffin tore his ACL in the loss against the Jets and will be out for the rest of the season. SOURCE: Josina Anderson on Twitter

Viking WR Sidney Rice, who has been out since preseason after hip surgery, is finally able to walk without crutches. He’s eligible to come off the PUP list Week 7 but its looking more like a week 9 or 10 return.

Jets CB Darrelle Revis re-aggravated his hamstring injury and his status for Week 6 is unknown. It looks like this could be something that could linger on throughout the season. It makes one think had he been their for training camp, would this be an issue right now? Hopefully he learned his lesson next time he wants to hold out.

Lions Head Coach Jim Schwartz is hoping Calvin Johnson (shoulder) can practice at some point this week. The Lions have a bye next week and it would make some sense to hold him out this week against the hard hitting Giants. If he were to miss this week, Nate Burleson gets a big boost in value. We’ll see how he progresses throughout the rest of the week and keep you guys posted.

2nd year QB Matthew Stafford(shoulder) is not expected to start before week 8. He won’t quite be ready this week against the Giants and with their bye week coming after that it makes sense. Look for him to get back out there in week 8. Shaun Hill will start Sunday but right now its not a great idea to start anyone against the Giants rejuvenated defense.

Colts RB Donald Brown(hamstring) and WR Anthony Gonzalez (ankle) both returned to practice Monday. I wouldn’t get too excited just yet, but the fact that they are able to do anything is definitely a positive sign. With Joesph Addai(shoulder) banged up and uncertain to play this week, keep an eye out for Donald Brown update. The Colts have a bye in week 7 so it is possible that they old Addai out if Brown is able to go.

It is believed that rookie QB Colt McCoy will start for the Browns Sunday in a tough tough matchup with the Steelers. Welcome to the league rookie, with Jake Delhomme and Seneca Wallace out with ankle injuries, McCoy will certainly be tested big time in his first career start. He is not a viable fantasy option especially on the road against the Steelers. SOURCE: Chip Brown on Twitter

Jim Thomas of St. Louis Dispatch has said rookie Mardy Gilyard is most likely to gain the most time on the field with the Mark Clayton season ending knee injury. Gilyard has got a lot of talent and is someone to definitely keep an eye on. SOURCE: Jim Thomas on Twitter

10/11 Player News

Rams WR Mark Clayton, who was finally coming into his own, suffered a knee injury Sunday against the Lions and is done for the year. Danny Amendola’s value skyrockets now and it remains to be seen whether or not Laurent Robinson will stay healthy or Brandon Gibson or rookie Mardy Gilyard will step up. The biggest loser in all of this is Sam Bradford, who failed to develop any type of rhythm after the Clayton injury.  SOURCE: Jim Thomas on Twitter

Green Bay TE Jermichael Finley was carted off the field today with a leg injury as well. He will undergo an MRI Monday. Finley apparently is dealing with a displaced hamstring, which is an extremely rare injury to have. Initially they thought it was a knee injury which would have been terrible news, but it looks like this won’t be season ending and he could be back within a week or two. We’ll keep you up to date on this situation throughout the week.

Green Bay may have also suffered an even bigger loss Sunday with QB Aaron Rodgers who suffered a concussion during the overtime period. He will undergo and have to pass numerous tests throughout the week in order to play week 6 so stay tuned to the situation. If he can’t go this week, Matt Flynn will get the start.  SOURCE: Jim Thomas on Twitter

Browns RB Peyton Hillis, who missed most of the teams practices leading into Sunday’s game with the Falcons with a quad injury, reaggravated it during the game. He put up a pretty productive fantasy day and probably isn’t in danger of missing week 6 but monitor the situation closely. He may be a guy you want to bench next week anyway as they travel to Pittsburgh to face the leagues best run defense, and not to mention the return of Ben Roethlisberger. SOURCE: Nate Ulrich on Twitter

In other Browns news, QB Seneca Wallace, who got the start Sunday, left the game with a sprained ankle. The early reports are that he is unable to put any weight on the injured ankle. Jake Delhomme replaced him and did what Jake does and threw 2 interceptions.

Cowboys rookie receiver Dez Bryant suffered an ankle injury in the first half of Sundays loss against the Titans. He did return shortly thereafter but had a noticeable limp. His availability for next week is not yet known.

Raiders QB Bruce Gradkowski , who was having a shoulder issue coming into the week, left the game in the 2nd quarter after being sacked. He reaggravated the injury and Jason Campbell replaced him and lead the Raiders to their first victory over the Chargers in 13 meetings dating back to 2003. We’ll monitor this situation closely as he would have a pretty good matchup week six against the now winless 49ers.

Another player I own in a few leagues, Colts RB Joseph Addai , left Sunday’s game with a shoulder injury. The fact that he left the game and didn’t return is never a good sign but lets just hope it was precautionary. Donald Brown would get the start next Sunday in Washington, if he is healed up from his hamstring injury otherwise it would be Mike Hart, who ran pretty well against a solid Chiefs rush defense.

Lions WR Calvin Johnson injured his shoulder during Sunday’s blowout win over the Rams. It is not believed to be serious and more of a precaution. Check back in the coming days for updates.

Texans RB Arian Foster suffered a knee injury but reiterated after the game, “i’m fine” and I think we believe him as of right now. We’ll continue to monitor his status but I wouldn’t worry too much about him in week 6.

Eagles WR Desean Jackson(knee) and TE Brent Celek(possible concussion) both left Sunday night’s game against the 49ers. The severity of these injuries is not yet known but we will continue to keep track of both and keep you up to date.

Broncos rookie DeMaryius Thomas left Sunday’s road loss to the Ravens after just being absolutely leveled on a kickoff return. As of now the exact injury is not yet clear, although by the looks of it, I would figure it was some type of head injury, probably a concussion but we will keep you posted on his status.

Chargers WR Legedu Naanee left in the first half of Sunday’s loss to the Raiders with a hamstring injury and was unable to return after the half. Naanee, a guy I was very high on coming into the season, hasn’t done much since his big week 1 performance and is clearly behind Malcom Floyd (8 for 213 1TD Sunday) for targets and even Buster Davis at the moment. 10/6 Player News

Well everyone, the Randy Moss to Minnesota Vikings deal is now complete. Percy Harvin i think as well as Adrian Peterson get a big boost with this move. TE Visanthe Shiancoe may take the biggest hit, as he has been the main downfield and red zone threat to Favre. Go out and grab Brandon Tate and Julian Edelman in New England, as their value will see a big boost going forward.

The Bills have named Fred Jackson the starting RB with the trade of Marshawn Lynch on Tuesday. Jackson will not be the every down, workhouse back as C.J. Spiller will work into the mix as well, but both guys will be decent flex plays the rest of the season.

Browns QB Jake Delhomme is expected to take the majority of first team reps in practice today, and is slated to start Sunday against the Falcons. I believe the only real winner that will come out of this, is reciever Mohammed Massaquoi, who lost all value with Seneca Wallace under center. I, however, stand by my statement that Wallace gives the team the best overall chance to win.

Ravens Coach John Harbaugh said, he doesn’t expect to see any new injury issues going into week 5. This means Ray Rice looks to be fully healthy from that knee contusion and is a must start against Denver Sunday. If a Ray Rice owner in your league is down on him, there really makes no better buy low candidate than Rice at this point, so throw out and offer, trust me you won’t regret it. SOURCE: Baltimore Sun

Saints RB Pierre Thomas is still dealing with an ankle injury and did not participate in practice Wednesday. His status for week 5 in Arizona is still up in the air. RB’s Chris Ivory and Ladell Betts would once again split carries should Thomas be unavailable. SOURCE: Jeff Duncan on Twitter

Colts beat writer Phil Wilson on Twitter believes that receiver Pierre Garcon (hamstring) will return to the starting lineup this week at home against the undefeated Chiefs. Garcon hasn’t played since week 1 and could have a big game in his return. Nobody besides Blair White stands to lose any value with Garcon returning, as Peyton Manning and the Colts lean on the pass so very often.

UPDATE: Pierre Garcon returned to a full practice today and looks like he’ll finally be back in the lineup Sunday. RB Donald Brown(hamstring) and WR’s Austin Collie(foot) and Reggie Wayne(knee) missed practice today. It doesn’t appear Brown will play again this week, meaning Joseph Addai will get a full workload. Collie was on the injury report last week as well with the foot injury and played, so he should be good to go. Reggie Wayne sat out today basically as a precaution and should be able to start Sunday. SOURCE: Phillip B. Wilson on Twitter

As every expected, Eagles QB Kevin Kolb took all the first team snaps in practice today and is expected to start Sunday in San Francisco. Kolb is a decent bye week filler this week if your a Vick, Big Ben, Tom Brady owner. SOURCE: Adam Caplan on Twitter

LeSean McCoy, as expected was held out of Eagles practice as well today with a fractured rib. Head Coach Andy Reid said McCoy is “making progress” but it he will probably not practice this week and Mike Bell is expected to get the start.

Panthers RB DeAngelo Williams sat out practice today with an undisclosed illness. He probably isn’t a risk to miss Sunday’s game against the Bears, but if he were to sit Sunday, Jonathan Stewart gets a big boost and becomes a must start. Check back for updates. SOURCE: Darin Gantt on Twitter

Lions TE Tony Scheffler did not practice today, the reason is not yet known as he didn’t appear to be injured during Sunday’s loss to Green Bay. Check back later in the week for an update.

Lions RB Jahvid Best(turf toe) practiced today and appears to be fully recovered from that injury. He should be a go Sunday against the Rams. QB Matthew Stafford did not participate in Wednesday’s practice and one would assume Shaun Hill will draw another start against the Rams. SOURCE: Tom Kowalski on Twitter

Giants RB Ahmad Bradshaw(ankle) only went through the pre practice walkthrough Wednesday and his ankle was taped and wrapped. His status for Sunday’s matchup in Houston is still up in the air. Brandon Jacobs would get the start if Bradshaw couldn’t go in a tough matchup with the stingy Texans run defense who has yet to allow a RB to top 55 yards on the round. SOURCE: Mike Garafolo on Twitter UPDATE: Bradshaw has now declared himself 100% healthy after going through limited drills today. You can’t always go by what the player says, but its a positive sign for him going into this weekends matchup in Houston.

Jets CB Darrelle Revis(hamstring) practiced today and appears to be a go for Sunday’s matchup at home against the Vikings and newly acquired Randy Moss. Moss’ one handed touchdown catch in the end zone as a Patriot in Week 2 was the play Revis previously reaggravated that injury. SOURCE: Rich Cimini on Twitter

Lindsay Jones on Twitter reports that RB Knowshon Moreno is “definitely not close to full strength.” That is not a good sign for the Broncos or Moreno owners as Kyle Orton was their leading rusher last week in Tennessee with 11 yards.

The Cardinals have announced, undrafted rookie QB Max Hall will get the start this Sunday against the Saints. This comes as no shocker with Derek Anderson playing so poorly thus far. Keep an eye on Hall’s progress in the coming weeks as he could end up being a solid matchup play or start in 2QB leagues. Keeper and dynasty owners want to run out and grab him immediately. Its a good matchup this week for his first start as the Saints pass defense hasn’t been that great so far and also for the simple fact that they will probably be playing from behind with that putrid defense of theirs. Redskin QB Donavan McNabb indicated Wednesday that his tight quad muscle will not limit him in practice this week and will start Sunday at home against the Packers. McNabb makes a decent matchup play this week against a Packer team that allowed Shaun Hill to throw for 331 yards on them last week. The Skin’s also plan to sign RB Keiland Williams off the practice squad prior to Sunday’s game  and he will be the #2 RB Sunday with Clinton Portis (Groin) being out. Williams will back up Ryan Torain and could see some time on 3rd down and passing situations and don’t be surprised if Torain struggles early or turns the ball over that Williams see the bulk of the carries the rest of the game with Coach Shanahan’s quick trigger. UPDATE: Clinton Portis is expected to miss 4-6 weeks with a third degree left groin seperation. Wow that sounds nasty, Ryan Torain now becomes a solid RB2 going forward and with his injury history as well, Keiland Williams makes a nice roster stash as well. SOURCE: Washington Post

9/29 Player Updates

Ravens RB Ray Rice is not expected to practice today as he tries to ovecome a knee contusion. Rice is saying that he will play this week against the Steelers, and is the only player to rush for 100 yards against Pittsburgh in the past 38 games. Stay tuned as Rice’s status will be continually updated throughout the rest of the week. SOURCE: Jamison Hensley on Twitter

Giants WR Mario Manningham is listed as questionable on this weeks injury report with a concussion. Coach Tom Coughlin has stated rookie Victor Cruz will practice this week as the number 3 receiver. Cruz has some value if he can play like he did in the preseason, but wouldn’t expect Manningham to lose his role regardless of how Cruz performs should Mario not be able to go Sunday night. Rams RB Steven Jackson(Groin) sat out practice today and probably won’t try and give it a go in practice until probably Friday. He is being considered day to day.  If he can’t go Sunday, then Kenneth Darby will get the start and would have a pretty good matchup against the Seahawks. SOURCE: Danny O’Neil on Twitter

Buccaneers Head Coach Raheem Morris said of rookie RB LaGarette Blount he “has earned the short-yardage and goal-line back role from now on.” This is big news for Blount and makes him even more valuable going forward. As I stated in yesterday waiver adds, go out and grab this guy.

Lions QB Matthew Stafford(shoulder) could possibly be back in the lineup by week 5. Stafford started some light throwing yesterday and if all goes well, he may be back to practice by next week. If he does go in week 5, he could reaggravate the injury when he gets hit so its something to be skeptical of. He is a guy that should be picked back up in deep leagues and dynasty leagues immediately if he’s available.SOURCE: Chris McCosky Detroit News

Lions rookie RB Jahvid Best did not participate in today’s practice with a turf toe injury and his status for Sunday is still unkown. SOURCE: Tom Kowalski on Twitter

Browns QB Jake Delhomme won’t practice today but is expected back either tomorrow or Friday. I hope for Jake’s sake he gets healed, but I think its in Clevelands best interest to keep Seneca Wallace as the starter. SOURCE: Scott Petrak on Twitter

Denver RB Knowshon Moreno hasn’t yet practiced this week and isn’t expected to play against the Titans Sunday. Laurence Maroney should receive the bulk of the carries this week but isn’t a great play against Tennessee. SOURCE: Denver Post
