  24. Christian Ponder @ SEA
  25. Blaine Gabbert vs DET

Cam Newton takes the number one spot this week. I have been telling you guys to trade for him, his schedule gets very easy from here on out.

I like Mike Vick to have his best game of the year and to prove worthy of the #2 ranking this week.

Tony Romo plays bold  in Altanta, while Matt Ryan doesn’t do as well as expected against a tough Dallas secondary.

  42. Montario Hardesty vs BAL
  43. LeGarette Blount @ OAK
  44. Robert Turbin vs MIN

Reggie Bush really needs to get it done this week against Indy. He has been frustrating ever since his knee injury against the Jets. If he struggles again this week, it’s time to be very worried about how he finishes the year.

Look for Ray Rice to get a big workload and for James Starks to outplay Alex Green against the Cards if given the opportunity.

  56. Golden Tate vs MIN
  57. T.Y. Hilton vs MIA
  58. Harry Douglas vs DAL
  59. Josh Morgan vs CAR
  60. Ramses Barden vs PIT

Steve Smith should have his best game of the year against Washington. He can absolutely abuse DeAngelo Hall

I am very weary on Calvin Johnson as you see in my rankings. Hasn’t practiced all week, could be OUT and if he does play could be limited to 3rd downs.

I think the Cowboys corners do a nice job on Roddy and Julio that is why they are both bumped down a bit. Dallas is giving up the fewest points to WR’s. Titus Young could very well play much better there where I have him ranked, especially with the Jags secondary banged up and possibly Megatron being out. Don’t be afraid to notch him up a few spots if you want. I have him there because he has to show me a bit more still as well as Stafford.

Denarius Moore has a great matchup especially with Bucs former CB Talib shipped off to New England.

Demaryius Thomas might be in my top five every week. In one of my leagues a guy just stole Thomas in a trade as well as Forte and that trade could easily get him into the title game. Thomas is going to finish extremely strong as will Eric Decker

Tight Ends

  1. Jason Witten @ ATL
  2. Jimmy Graham vs PHI
  3. Tony Gonzalez vs DAL
  4. Owen Daniels vs BUF
  5. Heath Miller @ NYG
  6. Greg Olsen @ WAS
  7. Jermaine Gresham vs DEN
  8. Brent Celek @ NO
  9. Kyle Rudolph @ SEA
  10. Jermichael Finley vs ARI
  11. Brandon Pettigrew @ JAC
  12. Martellus Bennett vs PIT
  13. Brandon Myers vs TB
  14. Dwayne Allen vs MIA
  15. Dallas Clark @ OAK
  16. Dennis Pitta @ CLE
  17. Logan Paulsen vs CAR
  18. Scott Chandler @ HOU
  19. Jacob Tamme @ CIN
  20. Joel Dreessen @ CIN
  21. Jared Cook vs CHI
  22. Zach Miller vs MIN

Witten takes the number one spot after last week’s performance. Greg Olsen should enjoy a very nice game being the second option with Brandon LaFell out. Dwayne Allen, Brandon Myers and Dallas Clark all are decent plays this week  if you plug them in for Vernon Davis or Rob Gronkowski who are on their bye week.

Fantasy Savvy Player Rankings Week 13

With one week before the playoffs, I had to get these rankings out to you. We know you need them, so I am are here to deliver. It should be noted that these rankings aren’t your typical sissy rankings. Sometimes certain guys just need to be ranked higher or lower based on what has been happening of late or because of a certain matchup. I see a lot of these rankings that are just so robotic based on a players past history and name recognition. If the guy hasn’t been doing it all year or has a certain matchup then he needs to be dropped in the rankings, on the other hand if you have a guy who has been hot in recent weeks and has a nice matchup, he deserves to be moved up. In other words, a lot of these other sites have NO BALLS, they take the “Safe” route, because most of them are real life dorks anyway. I try to do the best I can with this. Now to the best rankings in the business. May all your teams win this week!

But don’t give up, at least play to be a spoiler. If you are in the playoffs, let’s finish strong and as always we are here to help. If you have any specific questions for me you can send them to SteveDeAngelo@gmail.com and I will answer them as fast as I can.
Disclaimer: Kickers and Defenses are left out each week and we always try to leave the obvious choices out! Start DeMarco Murray!!!

Don’t forget to head over to http://www.FP911Challenge.com to play the best Fantasy Football game this year. It’s an opportunity to not only win a seat at $75,000 but you can also take on Tony Cincotta, Paul Greco and Lenny Melnick. It’s time to invest in a better Fantasy Football game. Check it out now.

QB’s Start Em’

Matt Ryan, Atlanta vs Minnesota

After a pretty horrid start to the year, Matt Ryan is starting to heat up of late. Ryan has back to back 300 yard games with 6 TD’s in his last three outings. Ryan can now be trusted again. He is playing to the caliber that was expected when Owners drafted him. This week, an EXCELLENT matchup vs the Minnesota secondary who are dead last in points allowed to Fantasy QB’s.

Vince Young, Philadelphia vs New England

Vince Young just wins games. He did it yet again with a eight minute winning drive against the Giants on Sunday night. I suggested Vince last week, I thought he perform a bit better, but he was serviceable with 250 yards and 2 TD’s. However the three interceptions decreased his numbers a bit. Vince also isn’t really running all that much anymore. He really is committed to sticking in that pocket. It’s now to the point where Vince only really runs if he has to. But Vince, after a rough 1st half, shook off the cobwebs and made some big throws in that game. I think he performs even better in this game against New England whose secondary is still extremely poor. It really looks like Vick will be out again, so stick with Vince again this week and expect around 18-25 fantasy points.
Tim Tebow, Denver @ San Diego

Do you still doubt Tebow? In a very tough matchup against the Jets, he still managed to put up around 18 fantasy points. Well it’s gonna be Tebow Time once again in San Diego as he will finish with around 18-25 points in this one. Norv Turner could be fired after this game, if Tebow devastates the Chargers. Expect a bit more in the passing game from Tebow this week with his usual 40-80 yards rushing.
Sit Em’

Andy Dalton, Cincy vs Cleveland

Dalton had a rough one last week tossing three picks against Baltimore, although he did throw for 345 yards and a TD. But he was missing AJ Greenand could be missing him again this week. Cleveland has been the best secondary against QB’s all year led by CB Joe Haden. Green possibly out again, tough matchup, keep Dalton on the bench this week.
Josh Freeman @ Tennessee

Freeman probably had his best game last week against Green Bay, but that was kind of expected since we knew it would be a shootout and Green Bay’s secondary has been allowing a lot of points to Fantasy QB’s. This week the game will be slowed down and Tampa will use LeGarette Blountmore often to attack the Titans weak run defense. The Titans also have been fairly stout against the pass allowing the eighth least amount of points to QB’s.
Joe Flacco vs 49ers

Joe cool played pretty well against the Bengals last week throwing for 270 and 2 TD’s. But keep in mind Cincy was without their best corner Leon Hall. The 49ers come to town this week and they are going to limit Flacco and this pass game. Ray Rice will be bottled up by the 49ers #1 Rush D and that will in turn affect Flacco’s performance.
RB’s Start Em’

Reggie Bush @ Dallas

Reggie now has 4 TD’s in his last three games and is playing very well. Miami has turned to him in recent weeks and it’s paying off. Matt Moore has also been playing much better and this offense can now move the ball consistently. Gotta stick with Reggie here on Thanksgiving and hope he keeps it rolling, I think he will.
Rashad Mendenhall vs Kansas City

This is the perfect game to use Mendenhall. The Steelers will have a commanding lead in this game and that means plenty of carries for Mendy. Look for around 100 yards and 1-2 TD’s in this game.
Willis McGahee @ San Diego

Willis had plenty of time to rest his injured hammy and should be fine in this matchup. Expect the zone read with Tebow to open holes for Willis in this game. McGahee is going to get plenty of burn and should find the endzone.
Sit Em’

Toby Gerhart @ Atlanta

The beast that is Adrian Peterson is OUT for this week so the Great White Hope Toby Gerhart will step in. But unless you have to start Gerhart, you really want to keep him on the bench. Atlanta has been pretty nice against the run all year ranked 6th in defending RB’s. Don’t think Gerhart really has the skillset to get it done in this matchup, keep him benched.
CJ Spiller @ New York Jets

Fred Jackson OUT FOR THE YEAR! WOW! First we thought it was just a calf strain, but now word is it’s a broken leg. Until recently Jackson was one of the best backs in Fantasy this season. But now the young, talented Spiller will get a chance to show his skills. I like Spiller a lot going forward, just not in this matchup against the Jets run D who have been playing extremely well of late. Plus Ryan Fitzpatrick has been so brutal and will do nothing to help Spiller’s cause. Spiller has a ton of talent, it’s just not really going to show this week.
Ray Rice @ San Francisco

I’m not saying to definitely bench Rice, but if you have other options to go with you’re going to have to think about it. This 49ers D just has been so good all year and I don’t see Rice scoring in this matchup. I think the only way you consider Rice is in a PPR league, other than that you keep him benched. I wouldn’t expect any more than 80 total yards.
WR’s Start Em’

Percy Harvin @ Atlanta

The Vikings made it a point to get Harvin more touches coming off the bye week and Harvin has responded with back to back games with six catches and over 50 yards receiving. With Adrian Peterson out, the Vikings will look to Harvin even more this week, making him a very solid play at Atlanta.
Antonio Brown @ Kansas City

Brown is going to be a staple in this offense the rest of the way. The Steelers pass game has gotten much better in recent weeks and Brown has been apart of that success. Brown should be a solid start from here on out.
Riley Cooper @ New England

Pay attention to the statuses of Jeremy Maclin and DeSean Jackson, if one of them is out, Cooper is a nice little start against New England. Cooper ran some good routes and made some nice catches while being heavily targeted by Vince Young against the Giants on Sunday night. Vince will look Cooper’s way again if Maclin or Jackson end up being out.
Sit Em’

Steve Johnson @ New York Jets

Once again two words: Darrelle Revis

Jerome Simpson vs Cleveland

Bad matchup here against Cleveland and their top secondary. I like Simpson, but this is just a bad matchup, stay away.
Anquan Boldin vs San Francisco

Don’t trust Boldin in this game. I love that 49ers D and they are going to make Flacco look silly, Flacco has looked silly against much lesser defenses. Boldin will produce little here.
TE’s Start Em’

Heath Miller @ Kansas City
Miller has returned to fantasy prominence once again and I love this guy the rest of the way. He is fully healthy now and it shows, he’s running good routes and getting open. Mike Wallace is also opening up things for him underneath and Ben is finding him.
Jacob Tamme vs Carolina

Carolina loves to play in shootouts, it’s like watching a game of Madden. Newton will be slinging and that means Painter will have to sling. How successful can he be? Probably not too much, but Tamme will benefit because Carolina is one of worst at defending the Tight End ranked 21st. Look for Tamme to have a solid game.
Owen Daniels vs Jacksonville

Matt Leinart will be looking for security blankets in his first game in over a year and Owen Daniels will be one of the blankets. Jacksonville also can’t defend the Tight End ranked 30th. Start Daniels.
Sit Em’

Vernon Davis @ Baltimore

Might want to consider sitting Davis this week against the Ravens who are ranked 2nd in points allowed to Tight Ends. Davis has been heating up with two TD’s in his last two games, but if you have another possible option go with that.
Jake Ballard @ New Orleans

The Jake Ballard show is slowing down of late with Ballard only having four catches in his last two games for just 48 yards. I think he starts to decline from here on in, just like the Giants will.
IDP’s Start Em’

Jabari Greer, CB vs New York Giants

Eli is going to be tossing on Monday night and Greer will be deflecting and possibly intercepting. It’s never a good thing when Eli is throwing the ball more than 40 times and that could be the case on Monday night.
Eric Weddle, S vs Denver

Here comes Tim Tebow and the extremely run heavy Denver Broncos. That means plenty of opportunities for Weddle to rack up tackles. He’s a nice IDP start this Sunday because of the style of play of Denver.
Sit Em’

Darrelle Revis vs Buffalo

Fitzpatrick will not be throwing to Johnson much and that is who Revis will be covering. Little opportunity for Revis to be a fantasy factor here.
Chris Houston, CB vs Green Bay

Aaron Rodgers will be throwing darts all day to his wideouts and Houston won’t have much chance of deflecting passes or getting an interception. Look for other options.

Chargers Antonio Gates (foot) and Malcom Floyd (hamstring) are out for tonights game against the 49ers.

Chiefs QB Matt Cassel (appendectomy)was limited in practice Thursday for the second straight day. The feeling around Kansas City is that he’ll be able to go but it’s obvious he’s not 100% just yet. Stay tuned.

Chris Ivory (hamstring) will be reevaluated tomorrow for his hamstring injury after getting an injection to promote the healing process. His status for this week is still up in the air. Pierre Thomas and Reggie Bush would shoulder the load if Ivory couldn’t go.

Percy Harvin (migraine) returned to practice Thursday and is on schedule to start Monday night against the Bears. Rookie QB Joe Webb is also slated to make his first career start against the very tough Bears defense. I wouldn’t expect a ton out of Webb, but he is wide receiver eligible in yahoo league’s so he may be an asset their, especially if he can use his feet a little bit.

Raiders TE Zach Miller (foot) practiced in full Thursday and should be good to go Sunday against the Broncos. Miller finally posted solid numbers last week grabbing four balls for 68 yards, so he’s a solid start this week now that he seems to be healthy.

The Packers will make a decision on Aaron Rodgers (concussion) status by Saturday. The feel is that he won’t be able to go but we’ll just have to wait and see. Without Rodgers, the Pack has virtually no shot at beating the Patriots. Matt Flynn would make his first career start if Rodgers couldn’t go.

Austin Collie (concussion) is going to make his return Sunday in a big divisional game against the Jags. He’s a solid WR3. Joseph Addai (neck/shoulder) and Mike Hart (ankle) were both limited at practice Thursday and are not expected to play. Javarris James and Donald Brown will share the load with Jame’s being the much better flex start over Brown.

Desean Jackson (foot) was unable to practice Thursday but proclaims he’ll start on Sunday against the Giants. We’ll have to wait on see on this one, as DJax isn’t the only one who gets to make this decision.

Cardinals Beanie Wells (flu) and Steve Breaston (knee) were both limited in practice Thursday but both are expected to play. With Tim Hightower undoubtedly the better option at this point, keep Wells on your bench, if he’s still even owned in your league.

Kyle Orton (forearm) may be unable to go Sunday and has been unable to practice the last few days. Rookie Tim Tebow has been taking all the first team reps and would start if Orton wasn’t able to go. Brandon Lloyd (calf) returned to full participation in practice Thursday and will be good to go Sunday vs. the Raiders.

Arian Foster was added to the Texans injury report with a hip issue but has not sat out any practices. This is a good sign as the injury doesn’t appear to be serious and he is expected to play in a great matchup against the Titans.

Donald Driver (quad) is not listed on the Packers injury report after sitting out practice early in the week. He’s not a good start this week unless Rodgers is able to play.

David Garrard seemed to have tweaked his hamstring during Thursday’s practice or possibly Wednesday’s and was limited today. I wouldn’t worry to much about it as he’s a fighter and their is no way he’s sitting out against the Colts with the division on the line.

Patriots receiver Deion Branch (knee) was limited in practice today but should be fine and is expected to start against Green Bay Sunday.

Adrian Peterson (knee) was added to the Vike’s injury report Thursday but it is not thought of as serious and he should be good to go Monday night against the Bears.

Week 13 Early Game Active/Inactives

Vikings RB Adrian Peterson(ankle) will be active and start Sunday against the Bills 32nd ranked run defense. Toby Gerhart will get around 8-10 touches i’d guess to give AP more rest than normal. Gerhart is a decent desperation flex play.

Saints RB Pierre Thomas(ankle) will sit out today’s game in Cincy. Chris Ivory, Reggie Bush and Julius Jones are going to share touches. Reggie Bush’s leg is not yet at 100% but he expects to be heavily involved today in both the passing and running game.

Chiefs RB/WR Dexter McCluster(ankle) will start against the Broncos and opposite of Dwayne Bowe. McCluster’s return could help Bowe’s cause as he could burn down the field to allow the safeties to help and leave Bowe one on one with Champ Bailey.

Vikings WR Percy Harvin(migraines) is OUT today against the Bills. Sidney Rice and Bernard Berrian get a big boost with Harvin out as well as Greg Camarillo.

Giants WR Steve Smith(pectoral) will be inactive as expected for Sunday and Redskins DT Albert Haynesworth(illness) will be inactive against the Giants as well. RB Ryan Torain(hamstring) is out today. James Davis and Keiland Williams will split carries against the 5th best defense against the run.

Dolphins wideout Brandon Marshall(hamstring) will sit today against the Browns. Davone Bess and Brian Hartline are solid flex plays today.

49ers Brian Westbrook(ankle) will play today after battling some ankle pain during the week. Westbrook will get bulk of carries but Anthony Dixon will likely get the carries around the goal line.

Packers receiver Greg Jennings is active today as expected and RB Dmitri Nance(concussion) will not play. Rookie James Starks will be active for the first time in his career but it remains to be seen how much if at all he’ll be used.

As expected Colts wideout Austin Collie(concussion) will not play today against the Cowboys. Blair White becomes a solid WR3 for this matchup.

Titans wideout Kenny Britt(hamstring) is officially out today, he’s likely to return week 14. Kerry Collins(calf) is going to start against the Jaguars today as expected.

Bills RB C.J. Spiller (hamstring) will return today in Minnesota and will handle return duties and get a few touches out of the backfield. Fred Jackson will still get majority of touches so don’t worry about using him.

Texans WR Andre Johnson tweaked his ankle during Thursday’s loss to the Eagles but an MRI reavealed no serious damage. He’ll be fine going into Week 14 with a 10 day lay off.

Titans QB Kerry Collins(calf) was limited in practice Friday but hopes are that he’ll be able to go Sunday against the weak Jaguars secondary. He would be a big upgrade for Nate Washington and Randy Moss over Rusty Smith. Kenny Britt(hamstring) is eyeing a week 14 return. Britt was able to do some light drills this week but needs one more week to be back in game shape.

Seahawks WR Mike Williams(f00t) is listed as questionable for Sunday’s game but says he expects to play. This would be a big hit to Ben Obomanu’s production but Williams very easily could reaggravate this injury and leave the game early, so i’d keep Obomanu in lineups as the Panthers will be keyed on Williams if he’s in the game.

Vikings RB Adrian Peterson(ankle) practiced Friday and is being considered probable for Sunday’s dream matchup with the Bills. I’d expect Toby Gerhart to steal some carries especially if the game gets out of hand early. Percy Harvin(migraines) was limited in practice Friday and is going to be a game time decision.

Antonio Gates(foot), Mike Tolbert(hand) and Ryan Mathews(ankle) are participated in Friday’s practice and are on track to play Sunday. Tolbert and Mathews are expected to split carries with Tolbert the more likely one to take goal line carries.

Jaguars WR Mike Sims-Walker(ankle) has been ruled out for Sunday’s matchup with the Titans. Upgrade TE Marcedes Lewis as he is the only other viable threat besides Mike Thomas for David Garrard to throw too.

The Browns have confirmed Jake Delhomme will start at QB Sunday in Miami.

Jets Safety Jim Leonhard left Friday’s practice on a cart after breaking his tibia. He will now miss the remainder of the season. This is a big blow to the Jets secondary and return game. Eric Smith and Brodney Pool are expected to rotate in at safety while Antonio Cromartie will take over as the punt returner.

Falcons WR Roddy White(knee) as expected practiced in full Friday and is good to go Sunday against the Bucs.

Raiders TE Zach Miller(foot) said he expects to play in San Diego Sunday in a decent matchup as the Chargers pass defense has been great but they have allowed at least 13 fantasy points to TE’s in 5 of the last 6 weeks.

Colts RB Mike Hart(ankle) was unable to practice Friday but is still expected to play Sunday against the Cowboys. Donald Brown will get the start once again as Joseph Addai(neck/shoulder) seems to be a week away from returning to the starting lineup.

Saints RB Pierre Thomas(ankle) was limited in practice Friday but Coach Payton says there is still a “realistic chance” he will play against the Bengals. Even if Thomas does play he’ll have to fight for touches with Chris Ivory, Reggie Bush and dare I say Julius Jones who has actually showed signs of life since becoming a Saint. I wouldn’t recommend starting Thomas if he does play until his role and health are better known.

Bills RB C.J. Spiller(hamstring) fully participated in practice Friday and will play Sunday in Minnesota. Fred Jackson will still get the majority of touches as Spiller will likely be worked back into the mix slowly.

Steelers QB Ben Roethlisberger(foot) will play Sunday in Baltimore in a big division game. Big Ben was unable to get through a full practice all week but the Steelers will implement more shotgun plays in order to help him make it through the whole game. There is no question if Big Ben can walk, he will play in a game that could very likely decide the division.

Dolphins Brandon Marshall left tonight’s game with an apparent hamstring injury. Were not yet sure whether it was just a cramp or something more serious. As we find out more we’ll be sure to pass it along to you.

Colts RB Joseph Addai(neck) participated in Thursday’s practice in a limited fashion. It’s likely to be a game time decision this week but its encouraging to say the least. Donald Brown’s value was already little to none and will become non-existent once Addai is back healthy. WR Austin Collie(concussion) was a full participant at Thursday practice and is slated to suit up Sunday in New England.  SOURCE: Paul Kuharsky on Twitter

The Panthers have now named 8 year veteran Brian St. Pierre there starting QB for Sunday’s game and not rookie Tony Pike. This is an odd move after hearing all week that it would be Pike. This however should have no fantasy impact and all Panthers should remain on benches and waiver wires.

Texans Andre Johnson(ankle) and Matt Schaub(knee) both practiced on a limited basis Thursday and both are expected to start Sunday against the Jets. TE Owen Daniels(hamstring) missed practice again and has virtually no chance at playing Sunday. SOURCE: Nick Scurfield on Twitter

Chiefs WR/RB Dexter McCluster(ankle) was limited in practice Thursday and is likely to be a game time decision. TE Tony Moeaki(concussion) sat out Thursday practice and is very unlikely to go Sunday if he’s yet to practice at this point in the week.

Steelers WR Hines Ward(concussion) practiced in full for the second straight day and is going to start Sunday. Get him back into your lineup against the Raiders secondary which is likely to be without Nnamdi Asomugha again.

Redskins RB Clinton Portis(groin) was limited in practice Thursday and is likely to be a game time decison. Ryan Torain(hamstring) has yet to practice this week and we’d bet he sits this week as well. Rookie Keiland Williams is likely to get the majority of the load in Tennessee Sunday and is a viable flex play especially in PPR leagues.

Brett Favre(elbow, ankle) and Percy Harvin(ankle) were both limited in practice on Thursday however both are expected to play Sunday against the Packers. SOURCE: Tom Pelissero on Twitter

Packers WR Donald Driver(quad) was limited in practice Wednesday and Thursday and will attempt to fully participate on Friday. If he can, he’s likely to play but if he’s limited again, James Jones would likely get the start with Driver being used sparingly at best.

Jaguars WR Mikes Sims-Walker(ankle) missed his second straight practice Thursday and his Week 11 status is still unclear. We’ll monitor this injury closely and up date everyone as info comes in.

Cardinals RB Beanie Wells(knee) was limited in practice Thursday, one day after stating his knee hasn’t felt this good since September. He still insists he’ll play Sunday but Coach Whisenhunt has yet to announce if Wells or Tim Hightower will start Sunday.

Saints RB’s Chris Ivory(shoulder) and Reggie Bush(fibula) were both limited during Thursday practice but are expected to play Sunday. I wouldn’t get overly excited about either of these guys, but if you had to start one, i’d go with Bush based purely on his play making ability. I wouldn’t expect Coach Payton to give Bush a heavy workload, i’d look for 8-10 touches but he could always break a big play. Pierre Thomas(ankle) has yet to participate in team drills during practice but is at least in pads and doing individual drills. Coach Payton says, “I think we’ve turned a corner”, which is a positive sign but he won’t be back until at least next week at the earlier.

Bengals RB Cedric Benson(foot) returned to a limited practice Thursday. His status isn’t yet known but we’d expect him to suit up in a great matchup at home against the Bills.

LeSean McCoy(shoulder) was limited in practice Thursday but he’s fully expected to play. I mean the guy played through broken ribs, I’d be shocked if he didn’t go this week against the Giants. We’ll keep you posted on any updates but signs point toward McCoy playing.

Fantasy Previews (1 O’clock Breakdowns)

By Alan Squatrito

Bills vs. Lions

The Bills have their greatest chance this week to get their first win playing at home. They play the Lions with Matthew Stafford out with a shoulder separation. Shaun Hill is as good of a backup you can possibly have and it won’t be easy for the Bills to stop him. I expect this to be a very good game down the wire and I also expect Kevin Smith and Jahvid Best to be great flex fantasy plays this weekend. Calvin Johnson was shut down last weekend against the Jets but I think he will bounce back in a big way. I like Steve Johnson to have a good fantasy numbers as well for a number two wide out this week. The Lions gave up an average of 3.7 yards a carry last weekend so Fred Jackson should be contained but will have a decent day. C.J. Spiller has a lot more upside, they just need to give him the ball.

Bears vs. Vikings

The Vikings squeaked out a much-needed win last week but they only started to play well when their backs were against the wall against one of the worst teams in football. Luckily for the Vikings their defense finally stepped up to play getting 6 sacks in the game. They had six sacks all season prior to week 9. The Chicago Bears offensive line has major problems protecting Cutler and they barely give him time to throw the deep ball. I picture Earl Bennett, Johnny Knox, and Devin Hester having the most impact this week for the Bears. Devin Hester is due to have at least one breakout game this season. Besides Percy Harvin, Greg Camarillo seems to have the most upside as a wide receiver for the Vikings with Bernard Berrian questionable with a groin injury. Coach Childress also said that Camarillo will be on the field a lot more going forward. I like Shiancoe in this game as well because he is a clutch player and a much-needed go to guy for Favre. I am not a big fan of Forte this weekend unless they spread him out wide for a couple nice plays. All in all I like the Vikings to win this game in Soldier Field because they are still in do or die mode and are looking forward to Sidney Rice coming back on the field soon to give them better chances to win games outright going forward. There is a chance Rice plays in this game, but don’t expect a big workload if he does play.

Browns vs. Jets

The Jets are giving up 3.7 yards a carry on the ground and an average of 16 points a game to their opponents. With Peyton Hillis carrying their team each week I expect him to struggle this week against a solid Jets run defense. To make matters worse Colt McCoy is going to have another difficult challenge to deal with this weekend against Rex Ryan’s blitz first defense. They come from all over the place. Don’t get me wrong I can picture Peyton Hillis having a decent fantasy day, but not enough to carry over for a Browns’ win. I like Ladanian Tomlinson a little more than Shonn Greene this week despite that they are both good plays. Ryan has said it will be a 50/50 split, will see. Look for Santonio Holmes to have another good game and Jets defense to have an event better one. This really should be a blowout as long as the Jets don’t turn the ball over.

Colts vs. Bengals

Ochocinco was a full participant in practice on Thursday and Friday despite an ankle injury he sustained during week 9 vs. the Steelers. If the Bengals don’t win this game, they will definitely keep it close. Can the Bengals lose 6 times in a row? Cedric Benson and Ochocinco will have great games this week, as well as Carson Palmer. This game will probably go back and forth and there will probably be one huge turnover in the game to differentiate the difference of which team wins and loses. I don’t picture Donald Brown having the best fantasy day even if Bengals do let up 4.2 yards a carry. He is a low fantasy flex. I like Jacob Tamme and Pierre Garcon. Would I be surprised if Reggie Wayne had the best game of the wide receivers for the Colts? No, I would not be that surprised, but I think the Bengals defense is going to step up and I believe they are going to win this one on the road.

Jaguars vs. Texans

The Jags always give the Texans a tough time, but Schaub hasn’t been playing his best as a quarterback in the last couple of games. I don’t think he can be brought down for too long and I believe he will explode this game along with Joel Dreessen, Andre Johnson, and of course Arian Foster. I like Garrard as a number one quarterback as well and I expect Mike Sims-Walker to have a big day. This game can and should very likely go back and forth with two potent offenses and not so potent defenses facing off. I like the Texans to start competing again and beat the Jaguars this Sunday.

Dolphins vs. Titans

What a battle this game is going to be. Coach Sparano is sitting Chad Henne who has a 62 quarterback rating and is starting his old buddy Chad Pennington. This seems to be the smarter move with Henne playing poorly lately despite the great caliber teams they have beaten thus far. I don’t know if Davone Bess will keep up his consistent 6-9 catches a game but I can assure you that Chad Pennington will be very accurate with all his throws. I think that Ronnie Brown will have a good game and is a solid number two running back. Brandon Marshall needs to step up his play and stop dropping so many balls. I think he will turn it around and help the Dolphins get a much-needed win at home; this will be their first home win this season. Randy Moss usually owns the Dolphins and I expect him to have a big day with Kerry Collins (a.k.a. The Statue) throwing deep to him a few times this game. This is going to be a great game.

Buccaneers vs. Panthers

This game isn’t last on my list for a reason, but now that it is, sure why not. This is the worst game of the week with Mike Goodson starting at running back and rookie quarterback Jimmy Clausen running the show. Yuck. The Buccaneers defense plays well at home and I expect them to play exceptionally well this weekend. Goodson is known to have fumbling problems and Clausen is known to have throwing interception problems. LeGarrette Blount will be a solid number one start this weekend and he will chew off the clock in the fourth to close the game out. I expect Mike Williams to keep his great play continuing but I also like Kellen Winslow to emerge this weekend as the coaching staff was talking earlier in the week how they want to devise a game plan to get him more involved. This should be a blowout.

Fantasy Savvy Player Rankings- Week 9

By Mike Cannici (QB’s, WR’s) and Steve DeAngelo (RB’s, TE’s)

QB’s

1.    Phillip Rivers @ HOU
2.    Peyton Manning @ PHI
3.    Drew Brees @ CAR
4.    Aaron Rodgers vs. DAL
5.    Tom Brady @ CLE
6.    Ben Roethlisberger @ CIN- Should bounce back after a lackluster performance last wk against the Saints.
7.    Eli Manning @ SEA- It’ll be tough in Seattle against the 12th man, but the Hawks’ can be passed on and Eli will get it done.
8.    Mike Vick vs. IND- Vick’s first game back, he’ll be just fine and maybe even pick up a rushing score.
9.   Matt Ryan vs. TB
10.    Matt Schaub vs. SD- Tough matchup against the league’s best pass D, but Schaub is at home and will still put up QB1 numbers.
11.    Joe Flacco vs. MIA
12.    Brett Favre vs. ARI
13.    Jay Cutler @ BUF
14.    Mark Sanchez @ DET- The Lions are much improved, but can still be scored on and Sanchez should have a solid game.
15.    Ryan Fitzpatrick vs. CHI
16.    Carson Palmer vs. PIT
17.    Josh Freeman @ ATL-Good matchup against the secondary that is susceptible to the big play.
18.    Matthew Stafford vs. NYJ- This kid is going to be a star and soon, but not this week in a tough matchup at home vs. the Jets.
19.    Matt Cassel @ OAK- The Raiders have been great lately, outscoring their opponents the last two weeks but a total of 92-17. They may be without Asomugha which could mean another decent day for Cassel.
20.    Jon Kitna @ GB
21.    Jason Campbell vs. KC
22.    Chad Henne @ BAL
23.    Colt McCoy vs. NE
24.    Matt Moore vs. NO
25.    Charlie Whitehurst vs. NYG-Hasselback isn’t going to play and we’ll finally get to see what Whitehurst has against one of the league’s best defenses.
26.    Derek Anderson @ MIN

RB’s

1. Adrian Peterson vs Arizona- Moss gone, Harvin banged up, great matchup all means tons of work for Peterson as Childress tries to save his job, Peterson could see 35 touches.

2. Jamaal Charles @ Oakland- I’m expecting Charles to build on his season high 240 total yard effort last week  as the Chiefs will run heavily in this and Charles leads the way.

3. Michael Turner vs TB- Fresh off the bye, Turner is rested and ready to go off against TB and their weak Run D

3A. Arian Foster vs San Diego- Foster will be effective against San Diego and their #1 Rush D, his O-line is one of the best in the league when it comes to run blocking.

4. Ray Rice vs Miami- Rice needed the bye week, he’s ready for a big role against Miami

5. Lesean Mcoy vs Indy- Will continue to be a factor in the pass and run game and will rack up over 100 total yards.

6. Ahmad Bradshaw @ Seattle- Seattle’s run D has taken a bit of a backseat of late and is banged up, Expect the Giants to pound the ball early and often.

7. Rashad Mendenhall @ Cincy- Cincy’s Run D has been getting burnt lately, but expect them to play more inspired on Monday night. Mendenhall should still find his way into the endzone once or twice.

8. Matt Forte vs Buffalo- Here’s hoping Martz isn’t as stubborn as I think he is and actually puts the ball in Forte’s hands this week against Buffalo and their dead last Run D.

9. Darren Mcfadden vs Kansas City- With Zach Miller doubtful for this game, Louis Murphy out, K.C. will stack the box. Mcfadden still will probably go over 100+ total yards he just might not find the endzone.

10. Ladainian Tomlinson @ Detroit- Jets will get back to what they do best against Detroit and their 27th ranked Run D.

11. Peyton Hills vs NE- Hills had the bye week to rest and is healthy. He will get a gigantic workload against NE in the run game and pass game.

12. Thomas Jones @ Oakland- Chiefs will run the ball at least 35 times, so plenty of opportunity for Jones to succeed alongside Charles.

13. Legarrette Blount @ Atlanta- Is now the #1 back for TB and running well thus far.

13A Brandon Jackson vs Dallas- Running much better of late and will be playing against an uninspired defense. Should have a couple of scoring opportunities.

14. Jahvid Best vs NYJ- Not a good matchup here.

15. Felix Jones @ GB- Still the #1 Option in Dallas, but not playing well and Tashard Choice will cut into Jones time this week. Jones is better for PPR.

16. Jonathan Stewart  vs NO- Oline is not opening up any holes and Stewart has been struggling. Will get all the touches with DeAngelo Williams out again, but don’t expect a breakout for Stewart.

16A. Donald Brown @ Philly- With Addai and Mike Hart both out, Brown will get the carries, but he hasn’t been playing well.

17. Ben Jarvus Green-Ellis @ Cle- Big game last week and although he may not get a lot of yards, I think he will have a lot of opportunities to punch the ball in the endzone this week, as Brady will move the ball.

17A. Cedric Benson @ Pit- Rough matchup, but still gets all the carries. Don’t expect yards but a TD is possible.

18. Ryan Matthews @ Houston- Getting healthier , but Sproles and Tolbert are hurting his potential

18A. Bradon Jacobs @ Seattle- Good chance to find the endzone and rack up about 40-50 yards.

19. Darren Sproles @ Houston-  With Gates doubtful, Naanee, Davis and Floyd all out, Sproles will play a big role in the passing game Solid play in PPR leagues.

19A. Danny Woodhead @ Cleveland- Woodhead gets enough catches and carries to be productive as a flex.

20. Shonn Greene @ Detroit- Should get at least 10-15 carries this week, should find some room to run, but has to hit the edge and run away from Suh.

22. Ronnie Brown @ Baltimore- Williams and Brown continue to hurt each other
