Knownshon Moreno (ribs) is considered questionable to play week 16. His status won’t be known until later in the week. We will keep you posted.

Arian Foster (ankle, hip) is expected to be a full go this weekend, in many owners championship week. It would be a shame if the guy who most likely secured your playoff berth sat in your championship, but for now it looks like he’s going to be just fine.

Aaron Rodgers (concussion) has been medically cleared to play against the Giants in a must win game for both teams but especially Green Bay as their playoff hopes will be over with a loss. Great news to fantasy owners and Packer fans going into week 16.

Adrian Peterson’s sore right knee and thigh are improving greatly but he’s still questionable going into Sunday against the Eagles. They are preceding with caution with this injury and Toby Gerhart looked pretty good against a good Bears run defense except for the fumble he had so don’t be shocked if Toby draws a second straight start.

Panthers RB Mike Goodson sat out Tuesday’s practice with an illness. He’s basically irrelevant going forward as Jonathan Stewart has cemented his role as the lead back. Goodson will only be used on passing downs or to spell Stewart over the next two weeks.

Redskins have announced Rex Grossman will start this week with John Beck, not Donavan McNabb serving as the back up.

Cowboys have placed QB Tony Romo (broken collarbone) on IR thus ending his season and Jon Kitna, who has earned it, will start the team’s final two games.

Brett Favre left last nights blowout loss to the Bears in the second quarter after suffering a concussion. It is not yet known whether he will play again at this point meaning Joe Webb or Patrick Ramsey are likely to play the final two games.

12/20 Player News

Adrian Peterson is surprisingly inactive tonight because of knee/ankle injuries. This is a big blow for owners who had thought he would play.Vikings QB Brett Favre (shoulder) has been upgraded to questionable for tonight’s game against the Bears. This puts a bit of a damper on owners who were hoping to use rookie Joe Webb at wide receiver in some leagues. Favre will throw before the game to see if he can go. We will keep you updated on this news. UPDATE: Brett Favre will start tonight for the Vikings against the Bears. Joe Webb will be the back up.

Chiefs RB Jamaal Charles had to be helped off the field yesterday but the good news is that it was only leg cramps, nothing more. So he’ll suit up next week against the Titans.

Fantasy’s number one player, Arian Foster missed most of the 4th quarter Sunday due to a muscle spasm in his glute aka his butt cheek. This will be interesting to follow going into most league’s finals. We’ll keep you up to date as we receive info.

Broncos QB Tim Tebow was fairly impressive in his first start yesterday, and obviously impressed his coaches and teammates enough to earn the starting gig the last two weeks of the season. RB Knowshon Moreno left Sunday’s loss to the Raiders early on with rib injury. The severity of the injury is not yet known and we’ll update you as more information becomes available.

Colts receiver Austin Collie (concussion) has likely played his final play of the 2010 season after suffering his third concussion in the last seven weeks. Before exiting Sunday’s game he did post up the second most fantasy points at receiver in standard scoring leagues. Hopefully his recovery goes well and he’ll have a big 2011 season.

Lions QB Drew Stanton suffered a Grade 3 separation of his non-throwing shoulder during Sunday’s win in Tampa. It may require surgery but since its his non throwing shoulder he may be able to play through it especially with Shaun Hill (finger) status going forward still up in the air.

Steelers TE Heath Miller who sat out Sunday’s loss to the Jets with a concussion is expected to return to the starting lineup Thursday night against the Panthers. Miller hasn’t been consistent enough to be counted on as more than a TE2 thus far in 2010.

Cardinals receiver Early Doucet left Sunday’s game against the Panthers with an injured hip and is expected to have an MRI later today or tomorrow. At this point in the season, Doucet can’t be counted on and shouldn’t be rostered in re-draft leagues.

Bengals WR Terrell Owens is undergoing season ending surgery today to repair a torn meniscus in his left knee. He is out for the season but vows he will be back for the 2011 season.

Packers QB Aaron Rodgers (concussion) status for Sunday’s game against the Giants won’t be updated until at least Wednesday. 3rd year QB Matt Flynn played pretty well last night in a hostile environment against the leagues best team until the end where his lack of experience took over. This week is a big game for both teams as their fighting for their playoff lives.

12/18 Player News

Packers QB Aaron Rodgers (concussion) has been officially ruled out for Sunday nights game in New England. Matt Flynn will get the start.

TE Heath Miller (concussion) has been ruled out for Sunday’s game against the Jets. Safety Troy Polamalu (achilles) has also been ruled out for Sunday and potentially miss the remainder of the regular season.

Vikings QB Joe Webb will get his first start Monday night with Brett Favre ruled out and Tavaris Jackson placed on IR. He’s not a start at QB this week but if your league has him eligible at wide receiver, he’s not a terrible play there especially in standard scoring leagues. Adrian Peterson (knee) returned to practice Saturday after missing the last few days and is going to be a go Monday night.

Broncos QB Kyle Orton (ribs, forearm) could get the nod Sunday but will have a short leash if he is unable to generate any type of offense. Rookie Tim Tebow would be next in line if Orton doesn’t go or is pulled.

Lions RB’s Jahvid Best (toe) and Maurice Morris (toe) were both limited in practice Friday but are listed as probable. Neither is anything more than a desperate flex play however.

Player News 12/14

Chargers receiver Vincent Jackson is not on this weeks injury report and will be available in week 15. TE Antonio Gates (foot) didn’t practice Tuesday and his week 15 status is still unknown.

Bills receiver Lee Evans (ankle) has been placed on IR thus ending his season.

Vikings QB Tavaris Jackson suffered a turf toe injury and his week 15 status is not yet known. With Brett Favre also ailing, rookie Joe Webb would get the start Sunday unless they sign a veteran immediately. WR Percy Harvin (migraines) is expected to return to practice by Thursday but they haven’t quite committed to him playing this week just yet.

Steelers TE Heath Miller (Concussion) has passed all his neurological tests and is expected to play this week against the Jets.

Giants wideout Steve Smith injured his hamstring Monday in a win over the Vikings and the Giants believe it is very unlikely that he plays this week against the Eagles. Fellow receiver Mario Manningham (hip) is very unlikely to play as well this week against the Eagles in a game that could decide the division. Derek Hagan and Hakeem Nicks will start.

Packers QB Aaron Rodgers(concussion) is listed as day to day but he believes he’ll be able to go Sunday in a big game against the Patriots. If Rodgers were to miss another game that would be a severe blow to their playoff hopes with the Saints at 10-3 and the Giants at 9-4. If Rodgers can’t play then Matt Flynn would make his first career start.

Chiefs QB Matt Cassel (appendectomy) is listed as day to day but says he plans to play Sunday against the Rams in a game they must win with San Diego hot on their heels now. They need him back as coach Haley seems to have zero confidence in Brodie Croyle doing much of anything.

Browns QB Colt McCoy (ankle) is very optimistic he will be ready to go this week. It looks like Coach Mangini is feeling McCoy is ready to get back in their as well but we’ll have to see how he practices the rest of the week.

Jets RB Shonn Greene suffered a neck injury during Sunday’s loss to the Dolphins and his week 15 status is not yet known. We’ll monitor this throughout the week but even if he can go, he has to go up against the league’s best run defense in the Steelers.

Saints rookie RB Chris Ivory suffered a hamstring injury Sunday but it not considered serious. Luckily for the Saints Pierre Thomas returned but thats not good news for Ivory has he could start to lose carries to Thomas if this injury lingers. We’ll keep you updated on his status as the week goes along.

Promising Seahawks receiver Deon Butler suffered a devastating leg injury during Sunday’s loss to the 49ers and his season is over. He has been diagnosed with a leg fracture and he will need many months of offsesason rehab to hopefully be ready for the start of the 2011 season.

Dolphins Brandon Marshall left tonight’s game with an apparent hamstring injury. Were not yet sure whether it was just a cramp or something more serious. As we find out more we’ll be sure to pass it along to you.

Colts RB Joseph Addai(neck) participated in Thursday’s practice in a limited fashion. It’s likely to be a game time decision this week but its encouraging to say the least. Donald Brown’s value was already little to none and will become non-existent once Addai is back healthy. WR Austin Collie(concussion) was a full participant at Thursday practice and is slated to suit up Sunday in New England.  SOURCE: Paul Kuharsky on Twitter

The Panthers have now named 8 year veteran Brian St. Pierre there starting QB for Sunday’s game and not rookie Tony Pike. This is an odd move after hearing all week that it would be Pike. This however should have no fantasy impact and all Panthers should remain on benches and waiver wires.

Texans Andre Johnson(ankle) and Matt Schaub(knee) both practiced on a limited basis Thursday and both are expected to start Sunday against the Jets. TE Owen Daniels(hamstring) missed practice again and has virtually no chance at playing Sunday. SOURCE: Nick Scurfield on Twitter

Chiefs WR/RB Dexter McCluster(ankle) was limited in practice Thursday and is likely to be a game time decision. TE Tony Moeaki(concussion) sat out Thursday practice and is very unlikely to go Sunday if he’s yet to practice at this point in the week.

Steelers WR Hines Ward(concussion) practiced in full for the second straight day and is going to start Sunday. Get him back into your lineup against the Raiders secondary which is likely to be without Nnamdi Asomugha again.

Redskins RB Clinton Portis(groin) was limited in practice Thursday and is likely to be a game time decison. Ryan Torain(hamstring) has yet to practice this week and we’d bet he sits this week as well. Rookie Keiland Williams is likely to get the majority of the load in Tennessee Sunday and is a viable flex play especially in PPR leagues.

Brett Favre(elbow, ankle) and Percy Harvin(ankle) were both limited in practice on Thursday however both are expected to play Sunday against the Packers. SOURCE: Tom Pelissero on Twitter

Packers WR Donald Driver(quad) was limited in practice Wednesday and Thursday and will attempt to fully participate on Friday. If he can, he’s likely to play but if he’s limited again, James Jones would likely get the start with Driver being used sparingly at best.

Jaguars WR Mikes Sims-Walker(ankle) missed his second straight practice Thursday and his Week 11 status is still unclear. We’ll monitor this injury closely and up date everyone as info comes in.

Cardinals RB Beanie Wells(knee) was limited in practice Thursday, one day after stating his knee hasn’t felt this good since September. He still insists he’ll play Sunday but Coach Whisenhunt has yet to announce if Wells or Tim Hightower will start Sunday.

Saints RB’s Chris Ivory(shoulder) and Reggie Bush(fibula) were both limited during Thursday practice but are expected to play Sunday. I wouldn’t get overly excited about either of these guys, but if you had to start one, i’d go with Bush based purely on his play making ability. I wouldn’t expect Coach Payton to give Bush a heavy workload, i’d look for 8-10 touches but he could always break a big play. Pierre Thomas(ankle) has yet to participate in team drills during practice but is at least in pads and doing individual drills. Coach Payton says, “I think we’ve turned a corner”, which is a positive sign but he won’t be back until at least next week at the earlier.

Bengals RB Cedric Benson(foot) returned to a limited practice Thursday. His status isn’t yet known but we’d expect him to suit up in a great matchup at home against the Bills.

LeSean McCoy(shoulder) was limited in practice Thursday but he’s fully expected to play. I mean the guy played through broken ribs, I’d be shocked if he didn’t go this week against the Giants. We’ll keep you posted on any updates but signs point toward McCoy playing.

11/17 Injury Updates

Panthers RB DeAngelo Williams has officially been placed on IR ending his season with a sprained left foot. This opens the door for Jonathan Stewart, who has been less than impressive thus far to take over the reigns if he can return this week from a concussion. If not Mike Goodson would get the nod once again against the Ravens.

Texans QB Matt Schaub was hospitilized Tuesday night with a bursa sac in his knee. It is unknown if he had surgery but coach Kubiak stated that he is doing good and will be back with the team tomorrow. It doesn’t seem like a huge issue but we’ll monitor the situation closely as the week goes on.

Bengals RB Cedric Benson sat out Wednesday’s practice with an undisclosed injury. During Sunday’s loss to the Colts, Benson did leave the game briefly but did return later on so I don’t think its too serious. If he can’t go for some reason, Bernard Scott would get the start.

Pierre Thomas has reportedly returned to practice but is not participating much. He is likely still a “few” weeks away from returning. It looks like he’ll avoid IR but he’s been out since week 3 so even after his potential return, who knows what he’ll be able to contribute. SOURCE: Jason La Canfora on Twitter

Saints RB Reggie Bush(leg) is expected to play this week against the Seahawks.

Colts WR Austin Collie(concussion) has been cleared to practice but coach Caldwell said he wants Collie to practice in full before before declaring him good to go Sunday. It’s a great sign that he’s been cleared and we’d expect him to practice Thursday or Friday and go Sunday against the Patriots. SOURCE: Phillip B. Wilson on Twitter

Chargers Receiver

    Malcom Floyd

(hamstring) practiced in full Wednesday and is expected to start this weekend. RB Ryan Mathews(ankle) was unable to practice today as well as Antonio Gates(toe). Both are risky starts this week and not very likely to suit up.

Vikings QB Brett Favre(shoulder) was involved in Wednesday’s walkthrough and it looks likely Favre will go Sunday even though he is just riddled with injuries. With the Vikings season basically over its surprising they’ll keep running him out there. Favre however, at less than 100% they must feel is still better than Tavaris Jackson at full strength.

Lions receiver Calvin Johnson sat out Wednesday’s practice with an undisclosed injury. It’s unlikely that its anything to serious but we’ll monitor the situation just in case. RB Jahvid Best(turf toe) was held out of practice Wednesday as well. He will likely suit up as he has for weeks now, but this doesn’t look good for him as he hasn’t been very productive. Kevin Smith would start if Best couldn’t go.

Chiefs TE Tony Moeaki(concussion) was unable to practice Wednesday and his chances to start Sunday are decreasing. We’ll see if he can get out there tomorrow.

Panthers QB Jimmy Clausen(concussion) didn’t participate in Wednesday’s practice and its not likely he’ll play Sunday against the Ravens. If he sits, Tony Pike will make his first career start.

Yep- Huh? No Chance (Start Em, Sit Em Week 9)

By: Steve DeAngelo

As always I try to leave the obvious choices out. If you need to be reminded I will remind ya! 8 Weeks in the books, Every game is crucial now for Divisions, Getting into playoffs, or leading your league in points. Stay tuned for our Player Rankings and Game Previews, they will be posted over the weekend.

QB’s to Start

Brett Favre vs Arizona

Randy Moss is gone and Brett Favre has bad ankles, a bum shoulder and tendonitis in his elbow. Also Farve hasn’t had a 300 yard game yet with only one multiple TD game all year. So how is he worthy of starting? Favre has hurt me this year, I banked on him and it didn’t work out. It looks like Farve could go down at anytime with almost a new injury every week but he keeps coming back. With all that said, Arizona should help Brett this week. Percy Harvin will find a way to play and Farve will target him relentlessly when he’s not handing off to Adrian Peterson. When he’s not handing off to Peterson he will be dumping passes off to Peterson. Expect Peterson to catch about 5-6 passes this week and I expect him to break one-off for a TD. Also I think Visanthe Shiancoe gets back in the mix this week and scores a TD. I expect Farve to throw for about 250 yards with a couple TD’s.

Josh Freeman @ Atlanta

Freeman is starting to get hot averaging 247 passing yards in his last 4 games. He draws a good matchup this week against Atlanta and their 27th Ranked Pass D. Also Freeman gives the bonus of being able to run the ball as well. With Mike Williams playing well and now the Bucs finding a run game with LeGarrette Blount, Freeman will continue to put up serviceable numbers.

QB’s to Sit

Ryan Fitzpatrick vs Chicago

Fitzpatrick has been a hot start lately with 8 TD’s and around 900 yards passing in his last 3 games. This week he draws a good Chicago Defense that has only allowed 4 passing TD’s all year. Also Chicago hasn’t allowed a pass play for more than 30 yards all year. Fitzpatrick may throw for 200 yards but he could be kept out of the endzone.

Michael Vick vs Indy

Vick returns after being out since week 3 when he went down in Jacksonville. Before he went down, Vick was looking more accurate than ever while continuing to use his feet like he always has done. However, coming back from the injury in his first week I expect Vick to be tentative not wanting to risk injury. Also Desean Jackson who should return will also be tentative. Give Vick a week to get accustomed again before starting him. This also isn’t a great matchup against the Colts 7th ranked Pass D.

RB’s to Start

Ladainian Tomlinson @ Detroit

L.T. had a rough one vs Green Bay last week and Coach Rex Ryan also announced that Shonn Greene’s role would increase going forward. However, L.T. is still the #1 back in the run game and pass game. You may also be scared off by the Lions emerging Rush Defense led by Ndamukong Suh. This Lions Defense is still ranked 27th against the run and the Jets still have one of the best offensive lines in football, get L.T. in your lineups this week, he will have a fairly nice game.

Matt Forte @ Buffalo

Forte has now been disappointing in back to back years. He only has 1 game over 100 yards this year. Forte is however a better running back than what the stats indicate. The problem is Mike Martz refuses to give him the necessary carries to produce and in turn puts more pressure on his QB Jay Cutler and we’ve all seen what the result of that has been. I believe Mike Martz is arrogant and stubborn and will remain unbalanced with always passing way more than he needs to. But, I have to believe as an NFL coach coming off a bye week, looking at how bad Buffalo’s Run D is, ranked last in the league letting up a WHOPPING 188 yards a game that Mike Martz will run the ball this week. Matt Forte has only had 15+ carries twice all year and one of those games was when he was forced to run with Todd Collins at QB. If Martz doesn’t give Forte 20 carries at least this week then he flat-out is a complete moron and should be fired at once. I am banking that he won’t be that much of a moron and that coupled with the fact that Buffalo’s D is so bad against the run, Forte is a good option this week.

Thomas Jones @ Oakland

Jones has almost become an every week starter even with the presence of Jamal Charles. Charles is the much more talented back averaging 6.5 YPC but Jones is producing himself with 4.6 ypc and is still running with power. It also helps that this is a run 1st offense so there is plenty of opportunity for both backs to succeed. Expect that to continue this week against Oakland. The Chiefs gameplan will be to run the ball and keep the ball out of Matt Cassel’s hands. Oakland’s weakness is their Run D. Yes they did shutdown Marshawn Lynch last week (7 carries 0 yards) but Lynch hasn’t been running well at all as a Seahawk (2.8 YPC). Stick Jones in your lineup expect 15 carries at least and about 70-80 yards with a TD or two.

Brandon Jackson vs Dallas

Jackson became the starter when Ryan Grant went down and really failed to impress. He didn’t hit holes and went down easily. However the last couple weeks he has been running much better. Also he has been a factor in the passing game as well. Wade Phillips has lost his team and they will be playing uninspired football Sunday Night, while the Packers are battling for the division and will be amped up. Expect Jackson to finish with around 80-100 total yards and a TD. He makes for a fairly solid flex play this week.

RB’s to Sit

Cedric Benson vs Pittsburgh

Benson has only one 100 yard game all year and hasn’t scored since week 3. That coupled with the fact that Pittsburgh has the best Run D in the league means don’t think about Benson this week. Try to go out and trade Benson, he’s getting the carries 40 the last two weeks, he’s simply just not producing.

Felix Jones @ Green Bay

Jones role has increased but he has failed to impress. Now he goes up against a stout GB run D that swallowed up the Jets run game last week. Also Tashard Choice is expected to get a bigger role this week to try to jumpstart this Dallas run game. Sit Jones this week, but he’s a decent flex in PPR leagues.

Beanie Wells @ Minnesota

Wells is now officially the starter but isn’t producing. He had a great matchup last week against Tampa Bay and their 30th ranked Run D and didn’t produce like he should have. He’s missing holes and not running with the power were used to seeing. The knee injury could be the reason. He also aggravated it last week and is questionable this week. Minnesota needs this game and their Run D is still one of the best in the league. Leave Beanie on your bench, he is also another trade candidate.

Marshawn Lynch vs New York Giants

Lynch has come to Seattle and done little. He’s averaging 2.8 ypc as a Seahawk. Things get worse this week for Lynch as Matt Hasselback is out and the Giants 3rd Ranked Run D comes to town. Keep Lynch on your bench.

WR’s to Start

Patrick Crayton @ Houston

This one is easy. Houston worst Pass D in the league, Craig Davis, Malcolm Floyd, and Legedu Naanee are all out at Wideout for the Chargers. Even Antonio Gates may miss this game. That leaves Crayton who might get 15+ targets in this game. Crayton can get open and can catch, make sure you start him. He’s a great play in PPR leagues.

Davone Bess @ Baltimore

Bess has become an every week option in PPR leagues and still a good option in standard leagues as well. In his last 5 games Bess is averaging 6 catches and 70 yards a game. He also has scored in three out of his last 5. Baltimore’s pass D is not as good as their 7th overall ranking indicates. Get Bess in your lineup, he’s one of the better route running wideouts in the league.

James Jones and Jordy Nelson vs Dallas

Both are decent flex plays this week against Dallas. Donald Driver is out and Rodgers will find these guys open. Both are fairly solid flex plays in PPR leagues. Slight nod goes to Jordy Nelson because he will go off against the risky Dallas Nickel back Orlando Scandrick.

WR’s to Sit

Roy Williams @ GB

Now that Jon Kitna has taken over Roy Williams has reverted back to the Fantasy Basement. In Williams last two games he has 1 catch for 21 yards after scoring 5 TD’s in his previous 3 games. Avoid him at all costs. Kitna loves Jason Witten and that’s about it.

Dwayne Bowe @ Oakland

Nnamdi Ashmougha may not play this week, but I would sit Bowe anyway. Matt Cassell will be phased out of the gameplan this week as the Chiefs will look to run. Bowe does have 5 TD’s in his last 3 games but keep in mind he also faced Jacksonville and Houston two of the worst Pass D’s in the league. Look for other options this week.

TE’s to Start

Ben Watson vs New England

Watson will be motivated to have a good game vs his old team and he should be successful against the Patriots who are letting up the 29th most points to Tight Ends. Colt Mcoy will be looking for a safety valve and that will be Watson.

Visanthe Shiancoe vs Arizona

With Moss gone now and Percy Harvin even possibly due to miss this game, Shiancoe will have to be relied upon in the passing game. He has been struggling with a hamstring injury, but he still looks good to me out there. Expect Favre to target Shiancoe a ton this week and for Visanthe to find the endzone.

Jacob Tamme @ Philly

This guy is for real, make no mistake. He runs good routes and is pretty quick. Manning loves his tight ends dating back to Marcus Pollard. Keep Tamme in your lineup and expect him to produce as a Top 7 tight end the rest of the way.

TE’ to Sit

Brent Celek vs Indy

Vick historically likes his Tight Ends, but never really has found a connection with Celek as of yet. Celek has been a big bust this year after being ranked as high as the 4th overall at TE coming into 2010. The Colts are #1 in the league in points allowed to Tight Ends, so keep Celek on your bench.

Brandon Pettigrew and Tony Scheffler

Both of these guys cancel each other out and were better when Shaun Hill was targeting them with his weak arm. Also this week they face the Jets who are ranked #2 in points allowed to Tight Ends. Keep both on your bench.

Week 8 Matchups (4 O’clock’s +Sunday and Monday Night)

By: Steve DeAngelo

This was the first Halloween in about 5 years where I didn’t dress up and didn’t go out. I needed a break from the costume thing this year. If I did go out I was thinking of going as Jamal Charles or Calvin Johnson, two guys who should have Monster games this weekend. Instead I stayed home and watched Oregon pounce on USC. Amazing how people still doubted that team. Well I hope everyone feels Ok and everything went safe and you had a great time. But now it’s time to focus and get your lineups in and set. By now you should have checked our rankings and 1 O’clock breakdowns, now it’s time for the late games. If you are still in your costume then you probably need to jump in the shower before you read this, your breath probably smells like a piece of Smooshed turnip.

Tennessee @ SD 4:15 est

Sitting at 2-5, the Chargers season might already be over. This is a team that is ranked #1 in both Offense and Defense yet still are in this position. Why? Because of coaching, it’s really what it comes down to. Like Wade Phillips in Dallas, Norv Turner is better suited as a Coordinator than a Head Coach. Chargers might make a run, but I think they will come up short of the playoffs.

Phillip Rivers continues to sling it all over the field with another 300 yard game last week despite not having Malcolm Floyd and Antonio Gates playing hurt. Gates is not a game-time decision like last week and will start while Floyd will be out again. That leaves Patrick Crayton and Craig Davis to catch Rivers throws along with Gates. Legudu Naanee is doubtful to play. Crayton is a good flex play in PPR leagues, he probably won’t score but should finish with around 5-6 catches and about 60-70 yards. Davis is more of a risk, I would look for other options. Rivers will put up yards and points it doesn’t matter what the matchup is.

The running game (17th overall) or lack thereof is another reason for the Chargers struggles. Ryan Matthews injuries have hurt but he is also missing holes as well. Matthews might finally be fully healthy this week, but Norv Turner continues to be unbalanced (270 pass to 180 runs) and it’s hard for Matthews to find a rhythm. Also Turner is still working in Mike Tolbert who gets most of the goal line carries and Darren Sproles. Matthews continues to where a wrap on his elbow and has dropped several passes. Because of that the last couple weeks Darren Sproles has played more and has produced. He’s not a terrible option as a flex in PPR leagues this week. The Titans have a pretty stingy Run D allowing just under a 100 yards a game and have only let up 1 TD all year. Still, Norv Turner needs to find a way to get this run game going with his 1st round pick in Matthews and Turner knows it, it just may not happen this week.

Vince Young has been bad against the Chargers in his career, we’ve all probably read or heard that by now. He’s likely not to improve against the #1 ranked Pass D. Plus Young is still gimpy with his ankle and knee so he probably won’t be running anywhere, although he wasn’t running much at all even before the injury which has hurt Vince’s value and effectiveness as a QB. Kenny Britt blew up last week leaving many owners including myself distraught for having him on their bench. You can’t blame us, the guy just got into a bar fight and nobody knew how long he would sit out. Well he ended up sitting out a quarter and a half and still went for 3 TD’s and 200 yards. Sometimes you just never know. You can be sure the Chargers will be looking to take Britt out of the game so expect Quentin Jammer who is playing at a high level this year to matchup with him most of the game. Britt is still a very physical wideout who runs good routes with good speed so he could still get his. You can’t sit him , he has scored in 4 straight games now. Leave Nate Washington and Justin Gage who should return this week on your bench.

Chris Johnson was bottled up last week against Philly so he will be motivated to have a big game this week against the #4 ranked Rush D. The Chargers have been solid this year, but haven’t faced a back like Johnson. Chris Johnson lite Jamal Charles had a nice game against this D in week 1 and I expect Johnson to go over 100 in this game.

Minnesota @ NE 4:15 est

The Patriots keep on winning despite losing Randy Moss as they won a tough one last week against San Diego on the road. However I think they fall this Sunday, as the Vikings are playing in a must-win situation. Tom Brady has still played fairly well without Moss even in back to back tough matchups vs Baltimore and San Diego but still only has two TD’s. When you lose Randy Moss you lose a huge redzone threat as well as a deep threat. Brandon Tate has failed to fill the role of the deep threat and can probably be cut, although maybe you want to hold out one more week. Aaron Hernandez has now kinda taken the role as the deep threat working down the field. He will remain a solid option in ppr leagues but not so great in standard leagues because of his lack of TD’s. The other rookie TE Rob Gronkowski still gets looks in the redzone. Some people said I told you so after Branch only had 40 yards after his big debut as a Patriot, but it was one game, Branch should be a consistent option every week for Brady. We are still waiting for Wes Welker to have a game over 75 yards, plus he hasn’t scored since week 2. Welker hasn’t looked the same to me at all recovering from his ACL injury although he still can be and should remain effective. Be patient with him, but don’t expect the numbers we have seen from him in past years. The Patriots will be able to pass the ball against this slightly above average Vikings Pass D (ranked 13th). Danny Woodhead is a decent option as a flex in PPR leagues, we saw Brandon Jackson have a fairly good game last week against them, So Woodhead should get some yards. I would stay away from Ben Jarvus Green-Ellis, although he will be the goal line back, just not a good option. Woodhead is a better one because he factors in the passing game.

Brett Farve will play this Sunday, was there every any doubt? Maybe there was a bit because Favre has been getting more and more beat up each week. He’s kinda like that last guy you fight in a Video game when you reach the end of the level. You keep beating the guy and beating the guy and then finally he goes down. Will Farve go down?, It looks like he won’t last, but this guy is just indestructible, he won’t give up, he just keeps coming back like the guy you can’t kill in a horror movie. His injuries have effected his play however, there is no doubt about that. Favre has only thrown over 250 yards once all year and has only one game with multiple TD’s. He’s killing fantasy owners who have been waiting for him. He draws a good matchup this week against New England, but you have to think the Vikings will probably run the ball a ton with AP and try to keep Favre’s role minimized. He may throw Two TD’s but I wouldn’t expect a lot of yards. The Patriots D should get rookie Safety Patrick Chung back this week so that should help. Despite Farve’s struggles you can’t bench Randy Moss who will be motivated against his old team even though Belicheck will be motivated to stop him. Also Percy Harvin can do so many things whether in the pass game, run game or return game. He’s a clear-cut every week starter. Harvin should enjoy a nice overall game. Visanthe Shiancoe still hasn’t gotten it going, injuries have held him back as well as the Refs. He should have scored last week, but his TD was overturned. I would be patient with Shiancoe but if you have bettter options go with that.

TB @ Arizona 4:15 est

Max Hall stinks, Derek Anderson is worse and they are both killing Larry Fitzgerald. Again, as I have asked before the season started, what was Ken Whisenhunt thinking when he just dumped Matt Leinart like an old Couch and decided to go with Anderson as his starter. He was being stubborn, he couldn’t have really thought Anderson was the answer. So Fitzgerald has suffered as a result, not to say he would have dominated with Leinart but he would have been better there is no doubt in my mind. This offense also would have been more effective. Fitzgerald is currently the #41 ranked wideout. Steve Breaston and Early Doucet return this week so that should help rookie Max Hall, but how much could it help? Keep all these guys on your bench maybe even Fitzgerald. I would definitely start a guy like Devonne Bess over Fitzgerald.

Beanie Wells is now the starter as started by Whisenhunt. Tim Hightower will remain a factor but clearly has taken a backseat, it didn’t help that Hightower fumbled twice last week. Wells has a great matchup and I am predicting a MONSTER day against this TB Run D that is ranked 31st in the league allowing 157 yards a game. I have Wells ranked as my #3 RB this week. Beanie has been a disappointment thus far, but this week he will redeem himself.

Josh Freeman is a nice young QB with a nice matchup against this turrible Cardinals Pass D. He’s a good bye week filler and maybe you wanna be bold and bench your usual starting QB. Freeman can also run the ball too which helps his value. I would expect around 250 yards with 2 TD’s for the youngster as he will hook up with Mike Williams and Kellen Winslow who should both enjoy nice games. Legarrette Blount finally got the majority of carries last week and produced with 75 yards on 11 carries. He is the most talented back on the team but still will share a workload with Cadillac and Earnest Graham. But Blount should be in line for the majority of the carries going forward. He’s not a bad  flex play this week against this Cardinals run D 29th in the league.

Seattle @ Oakland 4:15 est

Jason Campbell will draw the start for at least one more week while Bruce Gradkowski is still injured. However the focal point of this offense will continue to be Darren Mcfadden. I doubted this guy when he was drafted and was proven right after he did nothing. He went down easy, showed little agility and was always getting hurt. Injuries are still a problem for Mcfadden but today he is running with much more power and agility. He is playing like one of the best backs in the league. I was really wrong about him this year. This is not an easy matchup against Seattle and their Run D ranked 2nd overall, but Mcfadden should still succeed. Last week I saw Tim Hightower turn the corner on this defense so Mcfadden should be able to as well. Michael Bush has taken back seat with the return of Mcfadden and should be benched. Louis Murphy will be out a couple more weeks with a bruised lung, so look for Campbell to heavily target Zach Miller. Mcfadden will probably see 30 touches in this game. No other Raiders wideout is worth starting even against this 29th ranked Seattle secondary.

Matt Hasselback has been playing better of late but still doesn’t have a 300 yard game all year and only one game with multiple TD’s. Keep him on your bench and off your team! Mike Williams has been his favorite target and Williams has played well and shown good hands. However not a good week for him against Nhamdi Ashmouga and the Raiders 5th ranked Pass D. He’s still a decent flex play because Hasselback will throw to him a ton. All other Seattle wideouts leave on your bench including TE John Carlson.

Marshawn Lynch is averaging under 3 yards a carry as a Seahawk, he runs hard but hasn’t been getting many openings and really doesn’t have the speed to get through the little cracks. He will be factored into the gameplan this week as head coach Pete Carroll will look to attack this 28th ranked Raiders Run D. Lynch will be held under 100 yards though most likely although he could find endzone. He’s a low-end #2 this week. Justin Forsett is talented but is not getting enough touches to warrant starting.

Pittsburgh @ New Orleans  Sunday Night 8:20 est

I’m trying to think of how New Orleans will win this game. It is at home on Sunday Night so the energy will be there, but I just don’t see them winning this one. Pittsburgh’s run D will make them one-dimensional and they will shut down Chris Ivory who will be filling in again for the injured Pierre Thomas and Reggie Bush. Like Thomas, reports are now that Bush won’t return til week 11. So with the run game toned down, Brees will have to throw the ball at least 40 times. Brees is not throwing it well right now. Defenses are covering his wideouts and he’s forcing throws. This isn’t the most talented group. Brees is a great QB but there is only so much he can do. Reggie Bush not being there has hurt to open up things for his offense. Bush draws a lot of attention and really creates for the Saints. Without him they have struggled. That said Brees is still in your lineups, even though he may throw 2 Int’s he will still get his 300 yards and 2-3 TD’s. He will look to target his best wideout Marques Colston who had his first 100 yard game and his first TD last week. Picking between Lance Moore and Robert Meachem is a crapshoot but they both make for low-end flex plays. With all that said, Drew Brees could play a masterful game Sunday Night and lead his team to victory, but I don’t see it.

The return of Ben has helped this Pittsburgh pass game tremendously as we’ve seen. Mike Wallace has scored in back to back weeks and Hines Ward has went back to being a solid #2 wideout. The Saints Pass D is ranked 3rd in the league but it’s misleading. They have faced the likes of Alex Smith, Colt Mcoy, Jimmy Claussen and Derek Anderson. That is a pretty brutal list. Rothlisberger should be able to move the ball nicely with Wallace, Ward and Heath Miller contributing as well. Rashad Mendenhall will bruise this Saints Run D and keep a nice balance for the Steelers. Start all your Steelers this week and expect good production.

Houston @ Indianapolis Monday Night 8:30 est

Peyton Manning is coming off a bye week and that spells trouble for opposing defenses. Dating back to 2005, Manning is 5-0 coming from the bye. Manning also wants revenge after a week 1 loss to Houston. There are injuries in on this Colts offense with Austin Collie out a month or so and Dallas Clark lost for the season. However it does not matter when you have Manning. Jacob Tamme will fill in for Clark and is a solid start this week at TE against Houston and their 32nd ranked Pass D. Tamme is athletic and can get open so expect him to finish with a fairly solid game. Anthony Gonzalez returns from injury finally this week and don’t forget this guy and his talent. He’s probably a better wideout than Collie, he will be a factor as well. Pierre Garcon came back a few weeks ago and him and Manning started to hit him once again. He will deliver. Then of course you have Reggie Wayne who is the staple in this receiving core. Even Blair White might add something, but I like him the least of the bunch. All this adds up to a MONSTER game for Manning. Manning might throw for 400 yards this week and 5 TD’s. The injuries will not affect Manning this week against this defense. Get all your Colts in this game.

Donald Brown will play and will be a factor, but since he’s banged up he will probably share time with Mike Hart. Both are decent flex plays, although I believe Brown will have the better game.

Will Arian Foster have another MONSTER ( that word again) game against the Colts? In week 1 he went for 200 yards against them. You can bet that the Colts will be motivated to stop him and should do a better job although Foster will still produce. Matt Schaub will connect with his beastly wideout Andre Johnson as the Colts have no answer for him. It was good to see Owen Daniels finally enjoy a nice game before their bye week as he we went for 76 yards. He’s getting healthier and is a good start this week. Stay away from Jacoby Jones and the MIA Kevin Walter. There really isn’t much to say in this matchup other than there will be a ton of points scored.

Happy Halloween everyone and good luck today. Leave the candy for the kids………..

Halloween Eve 10/30 Player News

Carolina RB DeAngelo Williams(foot) did not travel to St. Louis therefore he will not play. Jonathan Stewart gets his first start and in his three career starts is averaging 150.3 total yards. Solid RB2 with RB1 upside.  SOURCE: Darin Gantt on Twitter

Viking QB Brett Favre(foot) is  expected to start Sunday in New England.

Colts RB Joseph Addai(shoulder) is as expected not going to play Monday night against the Texans. Donald Brown practiced in full Saturday and will likely start with Mike Hart getting some carries as well.

Texans TE Owen Daniels(knee) was a full participant in Saturday’s practice and will start Monday in Indianapolis.

Cardinals WR’s Steve Breaston(knee) and Early Doucet(groin) are both expected to return to this week’s lineup against the Bucs. Both are decent flex plays, but i’d probably hold off on playing either of them this week. Their return however should free up Larry Fitzgerald to have a solid game.

Titans QB Vince Young(knee) is expected to start Sunday afternoon in San Diego. SOURCE: Adam Schefter on Twitter

Antonio Gates(toe) is going to start as we had expected against the Titans and is an obvious must start. Receivers Legedu Naanee(hamstring) and Malcom Floyd(hamstring) are out for this game. Buster Davis(ribs) and Patrick Crayton will start with Davis being worthy of a flex play and Crayton a rock solid # 3.
