Injury Updates

By Mike Cannici

Raider Coach Tom Cable has said that he would be “shocked” if Michael Bush didn’t play this week. I would be cautious with him week 1, especially against the Titans but looks like he will be active.    Source: Oakland Tribune

Donavan McNabb practiced fully without limitation today and is a go for Sunday nights matchup against Dallas.
Josh Freeman didn’t practice today as his thumb felt sore, but coach Raheem Morris said “he wasn’t going to practice today anyway”. Freeman is expected to rejoin drills tomorrow and be on track to start Sunday against Cleveland.
Beanie Wells, contrary to earlier reports, has only a knee bruise and not a more serious leg injury. However Beanie is extremely questionable for Sunday. Put him on your bench because it looks like Whisenhunt doesn’t wanna risk anything.
Maurice Jones-Drew is not on the Jags injury report and is a GO for Sunday. Get him in your lineups against Denver.
Bears LB Lance Briggs, didn’t practice Monday as a precaution, but is fully expected to be in the starting lineup Sunday. Get him active in IDP leagues.  Source: ESPN Chicago
Fred Jackson (hand), according to coach Chan Gailey is expected to play sunday barring a major setback. CJ Spiller has already been announced the starter, but Jackson should see some touches but probably isn’t worth using this week.
Broncos RB Knowshon Moreno(hamstring), was a full participant at Bronco practice Wednesday and is fully expected to start Sunday. If he wasn’t facing the Jaguars, I would say maybe sit him out a week, but that matchup is just too juicy.
Broncos Rookie WR, Demaryius Thomas(foot) practiced without any limitations Wednesday and is expected to suit up Sunday against the Jaguars.
Dallas Clark, has practiced every day since Saturday and is expected to start Sunday. Clark didn’t play a down in preseason but should be 100% and thats good enough for me.
Patriots slot receiver, Julian Edelman(ankle), isn’t quite ready to play week 1. According to the Boston Herald, its believed he might be a few weeks away from being ready to go. He shouldn’t be in lineups anyway without a Welker injury, but he may be safe to drop at this point if he’s owned in your league.  Source: Boston Herald
That’s about it on the injuries with Fantasy impact so good luck week 1 everybody and don’t forget to check out the podcasts.
